Hi guys, [Em] Seymour Duncan here, I'm talking to Tim Meyer.
[E] Tim and I have been friends for a long time and we have our favorite people we work with.
I first met Tim working with Jeff Beck just up until a couple months ago too.
[Em] And then now Tim has been touring with [A] our other good buddy.
You want to tell us [D] what you're doing here lately buddy?
[E] Well I'm guitar tech for Roger [Em] Waters, we're doing The Wall.
How [B]
long have you been doing that now Tim?
[E] Well The Wall has been out [A] for, we've been on it for 6 months without a break.
[D]
[G] But I've been with Roger Waters for [A] just over 10 [G] years now doing various tours.
Well that's [A] great, you know and you have some of my favorite players [Cm] working with him too.
You know from [E] GE and Snowy White and everything.
I mean [F] [C] it's incredible and tell us who the other [B] guitar player is in the [A] band.
Well your new [C] endorsee Dave Kilminster.
Yeah [Eb] Dave man, he's a great [Bb] player and I just love [F] what you guys are doing.
[A] I was [Bb] there during the original Wall tour [B] with [A]
Dave and stuff.
Which [D] is cool for me to be there and working with David at the time, Gilmore at the time.
And doing his Blackie Strat and everything.
But it's so neat now to be working with Roger [A] and all his guys in the band.
[B] And it's always a great band and the fans are just raving about it.
So how long are you going to [E] be in California here?
We're just on a little break now, [C] about a month now before we start up [Gb] for Europe [Bm] in Lisbon 1st of [E] March.
Oh that's great and then it'll be getting warmer over there too I guess for you right?
I hope so, [D] looking [A] forward to it.
[B] I mean there's a lot of folks I've [C] been getting calls, Seymour I can't get in.
You know we're [N] snowbound back east, New York and Boston and Maine.
All these guys are like stranded and they say, well how's the weather [C] in California?
I say, well it's [N] about 80 degrees today here and they're just saying they hang up on me.
But now what type of work are you doing with the band?
What kind of guitar tech work are you doing with each guy?
Well I look after the three main guitar players, [A] Dave Kilmister, Snowy White [N] and G.E. Smith.
And basically the buck stops with me.
[B] I'm in charge of [Bm]
everything from their amps to their pedal boards to the guitars to set [A] ups to swapping out pickups,
which has only been to swap out to Duncan's.
We started [B] with Dave, we put split rails in all his tellies.
[A]
That's the way we started out with that.
Well what's really neat too is [E] you and I were almost like brothers.
We just laugh a lot and we always have funny stories.
But [Bm] you're such a personable guy and I really appreciate that.
You're [B] a good guy and I [F] really appreciate having the chance and opportunity to be working with you guys.
[E] And you're there with them, which I think is [Ebm] so cool.
I [Gb] congratulate you a lot and [Cm] you have a fun [F] gig.
I wish I was doing that [E] if I wasn't doing this.
I'd be out there with you.
[F] You'd be in the band, man.
[A] We'd be hitting all the pawn shops and all that stuff.
[Eb] That's what I [Am] enjoy doing.
We have to have an extra couple of cases just for [G] things we find.
[N] I love it.
Well Tim, I want to thank you very much, buddy.
I really, [A] really appreciate it.
Well I hope we'll run across you on the [Em] next Jeff Beck.
[Bm] I hope so
