Rockwood Deer Chase by Don Stover - Banjo Lesson chords
Start Jamming...
Hey, this is Bennett, and you're watching the song of the week this week.
We're doing an awesome Don Stover tune called Rockwood deer chase
I learned it off of Jim Mills recording.
It's in D tuning so from top to bottom
you're going to tune your banjo F sharp D F sharp a D and
It's a great jam tune
It's three chords so D G and A
There's really cool stops in the B section if you need to see the tab you can click on the link below this video
And sign up for my mail in list and you get access to all my song of the week tabs
make sure you like the video subscribe and
[G] Play along with the guitar track at the very end of the video because it's a really good thing to do
[Bm] For practice, and I'll see you next week for the next song of the week

as a little added bonus.
I wanted to show you a couple different chord positions.
I use as a variation on the B section
The first one being these seven because we're doing the B7 [C] right here
Instead of doing this position all over the neck like for each of our chords.
I'm actually going to go to this [D] D7
And so you can play the same pretty much the same roll pattern
Like that [G] and then for the G7.
I'm going to go right here
That's a really cool inversion of the G7 chord
[D]
And then for the A7 as [A] you can probably guess we're just going to move the G7 up two frets
So
[D] [C#] [D] it sounds a little bit like this
[G] [D]
[G] [D]
[G]
[C] [A] [D]
