And here's the song from today, 5.30,. and we'll probably be here until 5.30. Here's something that's not on a two That's great. Great, that type thing. I just wonder if, because the song doesn't have a beginning Why don't we just start 5.30,. what I'd like to do is pull back all the acoustic pianos and put up the [E] pads. And I would not necessarily do it in [Db] the timing that's in the [N] four, right? [D]
[G] [Am] I'm [D] around, [Am] I figured [D] it out, [Am] [Bb] so far, [Cm] so sad. [D] The song that's now 5.30 was probably one of the first things I ever wrote, which I think was called That's Why Love, way back [G] in the day. [Am] No [Bb] sides in [C] the inside [D] [Em] That's my [D] love [Em] All falls [D] down [Em] That's why I [G] won't fall [D] [Em] Under fire [D] [C] Originally, 5.30 was [D] about someone who had [Em] just figured out that [G] it's a waste [A] of time and he's in a really bitter place. And then Mark told me this ghastly [D] story about some occurrence in his family of origin, and then that became part of the lyric. [G] And I played that and just got back to, well, what's the essence of the song? And started playing the chorus chords again. And then the whole [Gm] ending of the song, I'm explaining [D] the way it was never really bad, it was never really this, you know. So it turned out like this, and now it's like this, kind of like the resolve of the song happened. So it was really kind of a three-part mini-series [G] just to get freaking [D] four and a half minutes of music done. [Gm] And it catches [D] in the weeho Wouldn't claim it felt so fair That [Gm] a silo in [D] my house [Gm] Can not [D] escape this mouth I [G] can not [Dm] escape this The [Ab] [Am] moment I [D] believed [Am] My hands are just [D] your hair [C] And let my cover [D] blow [C] I was never [D] really there [Gm] I was just a little [D] scared Scared [Gm] I was just a little [D] scared You were only never here [Bb] [N] Now you know, this is extremely cool music, and a drummer has a hard time finding one. He'd know it's cleverly and very coolly written.
