Then I sing [Ab] the first verse okay [Eb] Robin and I wrote this song called breath together
He kind of had this idea [Bb] and so we sat together [Db] and we worked on lyrics
It was really kind of fascinating to [Abm] write with him and just kind of you know
Learn about how somebody else would write and to hear how the [Db] song turned out.
It's really it's really [Bb] kind of cool

_ And coming out of a tradition
So I made a very deliberate effort

Have it be obviously contemporary something of the times
Very much of these times and not [N] you know again that throwback back to the roots
Like the music of the 50s and 60s, you know

Would say this [E] record more than any I've done has taken the most time
But only because it's been spread out over a period of months and and working only like a week to ten [Em] days at a time
Then two and a half weeks goes by before [Gm] we're back in the studio

That I think maybe has been a good thing because I like taking time

_ _ _ [D] _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ The [Gm] record is [D] is really upbeat.
It has a very positive
[B] Vibe to it.
I think a really good
Good time feel there's a lot of different
_ [Dm] rhythms and feels and colors and the way the instruments are used are
[Db] _ Really different on this and that [Eb] track and that has made me very happy actually to have something that [E] diverse
There's humor, you know, there's just a real [B] good good feeling about this [Gm] record
