epiphany I had seeing a young [A] guy older than me in my school playing the saxophone.

so when I was about 13 I started playing the guitar, heard a guitarist named Mike Bloomfield
and [Dm] he became my first [Bb] real hero.

And from there [Am] [Db] just all [D] kinds of musics, you know,
became more and more important [F] to me.

Primarily blues and jazz has been my thing.

Swing doesn't quite have the same quality that it used to have but for me that kind
of a groove that you find in primarily blues and jazz, [B] it also exists in early rock and
roll and it certainly exists in a lot of R&B.
