[G] This is the guitar lesson for [Em] Richie Valens la Bamba from Guitar Made Easy [A#].com
First [Am] things first make sure your guitars in [E] standard e-tuning
[Cm] The hardest [A] part of this [F] song is the intro [G] which I will show you how to play right now, okay?
This is it [C] very slow [A#] alright, [G] so it goes
[Bm] [G] [C]
[Dm] [G]
[A#] [C] [F]
[G] [C#] That's it.
[G] Okay, so let's go over it alright.
You start off with kind of [B] like a G pattern [C] alright or a G shape and
How I play [G] it as I take my ring finger.
I put that [C#] on the third Freddie string
I take my middle [B] finger put that on the second fret [C] a
String [G] okay, and I palm mute and I go
So I go e a D
And that's where it starts, so now I make it ring and I move these fingers down one string
So [C] now my ring finger is going [G] to be on the third fret a string [C] and my middle finger is going to be on the second
fret D string okay, this is where it starts so we go
We go
All [A]
right, so I [C] go down down up, and that's two strings that I'm strumming
That's the a and the D string so I go
And [G] I do kind of the same thing I move my fingers down once again, [Cm] so now my ring fingers on [Dm] the third fret
What is that third fret D string and my middle finger now is on the second fret G string [C] okay, so I go [Dm]
and now I pluck
[A]
[D] the
Second fret G string [G] down, and I take my pointer.
I'm taking my [C] middle finger off tonight
[G] Pluck it up.
Okay, so it sounds like this it goes
[C] [A]
[G] all right, so
[C] [Am]
[G] That's the first part all right [F#] now the second part [Gm] we go back to that G shape and we go
[Bm] [A#]
[D]
[Gm] Okay, so we take our
Once we [G] put the E string on [C#] the third [G] fret so we go and in the second [Bm] fret a string
Then open [D] D, [G] and now I take my ring finger, and [D] I put that on the third [G] fret D string and I [F] go
So I go three three
[Em]
two with my middle finger and then [D] open and then we [C] go
[G]
[C] All right, and this is the third part so the third part goes
[G] Okay, [C] so
Right now.
We're kind of like in a C shape all right
So my ring finger is on the third [C#] fret a string my middle fingers [Cm] on the second fret D string and I go
[C]
Now I'm moving down into that [A] F shape okay, so I move [C] them down one [F] string and
Then I upstroke on the G shape [C] so I go [G] and [C#] [Em] then it comes in
[A#] Bamba [G] all right, and so that's the intro
I'll play through it one time all the way through really slow so you can see [Cm] it one more time, okay, so I go
[G] Okay, [C]
[Dm] [G]
[C] [F]
and [F#m] then now the easiest [C] part of the song the verse which is just C F G so it goes
[G] [C]
[G]
[C] [G]
[C] [G] And sometimes he [C] mutes the G
[F] [C]
[G]
All right [F] so un poquito espanol [C] so not very well either, but um all it is is C
[F] F
[G] And G okay, and the stroking [C] pattern for that is this
so down down
[F]
[C] So down down up on the C.
Then F.
We [F] go and [G] then
[C] so
[F]
Down on the [D] F, and then I go into an [G] upstroke on the G
[C] So
[G]
[C] [G]
Really slow
[C]
[F] [G]
That's the whole [F] song and then this really sloppy solo comes in there where basically he's just hitting all the notes
that [C] I showed you before you just want [G] like
[B] something like that so
[C#] that's the whole song really [A#] the easiest song in the world [F#] and
One of the greatest [G] because it was one of the [B] foundations for rock and roll so
[A#] Hope you guys [D] liked it um
