a rig rundown with you in the studio.
We are Thunder Mother and we just recorded our third
album called Thunder Mother.
So I'm gonna show you what I use, come on.
I have a few
guitars I've used on this album.
I have my main guitar, it's a Gibson Halestorm Signature
actually.
We only have four of them in Sweden and I'm a lucky [Gm] number four.
It's really nice
with a thick inlays, a [F#]
small neck and gold details as you can see.
[D] Perfect [A] to riff on.
[A]
[G] Very good, solid guitar in one piece.
Then I also use a Fender from 69, it's a Telecaster
with Lundgren pickups, 57.
You know who Lundgren is, you know it's good shit.
Really good guitar
to put in the choruses or to riff on.
I have my other main guitar, Gibson SG Standard from
2012 I think or 2011, I don't remember.
But actually I haven't used it once.
I use it
live mainly.
I didn't have time to do that.
So yeah, guitar number four.
It's a Fender,
no it's not a Fender, warm off I mean, but it looks like a Fender.
And this is a really
old guitar as well.
It's from the deceased Fjellis, the blues legend in Sweden.
It's
his old blues guitar.
So I'm very, very careful of it as I have borrowed it for this single
purpose.
Sounds amazing.
A lot of solos made with this [G#] one.
[G] I'm going to show you the picks.
Is it over?
No, no, no, continue, continue.
Talk about the picks.
Okay, the picks.
This
is a normal Dunlow pick, one millimeter, but it's too thin to do heavy riffs on, to get
the bright, bright sound.
So I use a really thick one, this one.
Come closer.
It's a 1.9
millimeter.
It's abnormously thick, but you get a completely different sound.
A little
example maybe.
Listen.
[A]
[G] [D]
[F] [A] [Gm]
[G] I don't know if you can hear the difference acoustic, but it sounds
really good in the amp with a thick pick.
Can't play with it live, but I can play with
it in the studio because I break strings with it.
A lot of strings.
Now to the amplification.
Here we have, we don't use the Mesa Boogie, it's just, it's merely a table for the amps
I use.
Good table, Mesa Boogie, good table.
Not plugged in.
But we have a classic Superlead
GMP, 100 watts, sounds like a monster.
I'm going to buy it after this video.
I love it.
Now we have a GMP 50 watts.
It's our producer Plex app, it sounds really, really good.
He's
sitting over there in the corner.
And we use it for the solos mainly, because you can play
really, like you can have a lot of tubes, valves, what do you call it, tubes, without
having a crazy amount of volume.
This is really loud, this one.
This is, [F] it's the same, but
you get more warmth in the sound.
So we use this for solos, and this for rhythm.
And then
we have, in every song we have a chorus, and then we use this one, because it glues their
sounds together really well.
It's an amp from Alabama, Granger.
And I think it's the only
one in Sweden, so hi Granger Amps.
They just shared a post on Facebook, as they saw we
used it on the Thunder Mother album.
So yeah.
The pedalboard is a mix match, but we actually
don't use any effects right now.
We only plug in the tuner.
So this is for my live
sessions, my wireless, my EP booster, my delay, and my Van Halen phaser.
So yeah, thanks for
watching.
See you.
