How did you enjoy the concert last night Rick?
I enjoyed it very much indeed
I especially the chronicists out of the two and two and a half years have been in the band
The
[G]
[Ebm] [Ab] [G] [N] highlights
[Ab] [B]
More than
It's [Bb] not really any bigger than the other places it really [Ab] it's no bigger than spectrum
But I think when it was full and we couldn't really see it
You know, we didn't see with the house lights on with everybody and that's really when you can tell how just how big a place
Is I think?
Just that bigger.
Yeah, same size as the forums.
It's really nice doing that size arena
Let's do the PA hoisting
Surprise everybody's complained about the sound in there.
I thought the sound was was really good.
Everybody says
[N] It is a big turn this time, isn't it?
Yeah 42
[Bb] [N] 44 45 days
We actually did a double
Quite amazing an afternoon the same concert at three our concert in the afternoon.
Let me did it some again in the evening
When you have when you've only been off the road for a month or so, it's quite easy
But if you've been in the studio for
Seven seven months or something or you've been off the road
We had a good week rehearsal before it so it did help to
lessen the impact because
Come off stage.
You just put dead
There's 22 in the road crew which is made up each sort of person has got their own specific job to do
[G]
[A] As a whole crew look after the scenery and the whole crew look after the lighting the whole crew look after the sound so
I said we've got 22 in the crew, but each person has their own specific job to do
Because it's a must be we had 14 ton on the English tour
I must have more than that now three [F] huge trucks.
Yeah, we've got three huge 30-foot trucks taking everything around there must be
Close on 20 [Ab] tons of the stuff and to shovel that around America day after day
And make what help everything to stand up and be prepared takes [F] a lot of day
This tour we should have been doing [N] in October, but usually
So we almost thought about it once then we had to postpone it and we relapse it
So we it had a lot of thought put into it by getting cancelled repositioned
Rerouted I think it's the best to you know it's the most
Very well rotates all the equipment has to go by road
Because we won't let won't fly it because Lord your respects to the American Airlines
They don't unfortunately they have different meanings for different words like our idea of fragile this one this way up in England means
Handle with care and please hold it this way up in America.
It normally means please turn sideways and drop out the airplane
So we send everything by road, it's quite exciting trying to put on a show like we do and I do it every night
Because it is basically the same show as you were doing on the English to isn't it?
[A] The sad thing is that every time you play something things [Ab] improve and the music gets better you find new things to play
[A] She wanted to do
[Ab]
This will be things perhaps in six months time I'll be
[N]
Replying now so the more gigs you do obviously the better things get all the harmonies get
Very complex to do you have concentration problems on stage only the first number
I
Don't really think about constant I didn't really have time to think you concentrate play right man off with a glass of beer
Yeah, I do that the other day.
I did it
The concentrate I don't really think about concentrates because you've got so many things to do
You get into almost to a
Not only a musical routine, but mechanical routine
In as much as when you're playing, you know, you've got a 10-second gap
[F] [Ab] And
[N] [Gb]
you [N]
know that you should be doing [Gb] something even though you're not playing
You should be setting something [Ab] up
[N]
There's not gonna be a yes album this year is [Ab] it
There is gonna be it's in the offering
[D] What
[Ab] about your own album, well, I was hoping that I mixed it before I came away
[Bb] We had some trouble with [B] the car
[F] They were going to send me the cut over to New York to listen to what I thought it hasn't [Ab] arrived so
Well good in the next few days his phone up and find out
[A] [N] As poor to go to her engineer didn't make sure they wasn't very happy with a cup at all
It's more important almost in the
[B] [A] [Ab] Mix
My stage in the most important stage, yeah, there's so many records been ruined by bad cuts
Not my bad mix if you want it to sound like a dance that you know on a dance it or a good set You know
It's really a brilliant critical.
So what's happening at the end of the tour now?
[B] I go home and try and persuade my wife to get rid of the new dog.
She's bought I think
I
Think we're having a few weeks off.
Yeah, I've got a rest in my
Family, I'm in the studio with you, right?
There's Wally.
Yeah
Should be fun.
It's really good.
