[C] If you don't come right here, if you don't come right here, if you don't come right here, I'm gonna turn
This
[Gb] [Dm] is my first time playing with an orchestra in Europe.
So I have [Cm] played with symphonies in the United States, but this is my first time across the pond, [C] so I'm excited.
[N] Well I met Grant in North Carolina because he also conducts the NC Symphony and I sang with them [Abm] some years ago.
And I remember when he [Dbm] first started coming here, him saying, because [Abm] I've sung with him several times,
[Am] Oh I've got this symphony in Brittany, you should come, you know, it would be great to have you come sing.
And I was just like, oh Brittany, I've always wanted to go to Brittany, you know.
Because I've done a lot of Celtic music and [G] been to Ireland and Scotland and [Am] Wales, but I've never been to the Celtic part of France.
So to [Dm] come here has always been something I've wanted [G] to do.
Oh shit.
That's an A and then a B, okay.
[C] Well [G]
[Cm] [G]
it's always wonderful to hear an ensemble for the first time and to hear new arrangements, things that I hadn't, you know,
I see it on the page, but to hear it, oh, oh, okay, you know, [C] oh, he put that in there.
Because I'm not, I see the music and it doesn't [Am] mean anything.
I mean [D] I can read it, but like I can't hear it, so [Am] I have to hear it with people playing it.
And then I go, oh, that's what [G] that sounds like, you know.
It's always very exciting to hear that first time through [Fm] and then, you know, we do it again and it gets better.
And so it's one of my favorite [G] moments of the process.
Because that's what I play, [C] that's what I play, so.
Okay, good.
I remember well they came one [F] [Cm]
day.
The fool, the fool, the fairy.
[F] [Cm] [F] [D] They [C] asked of me what could I sing.
[D]
For the love of [Eb] [F] Spanish [Eb] fairy.
[C] Do not be concerned.
No, no wonder why I'm weary.
[F]
[C] No, I'm not giving you one word, [F]
[Cm]
Spanish fairy.
It's always good to do things like this, to take my music and to put it with the orchestra music.
Because then the two, the people who would listen to my music and the people who would listen to orchestra music,
maybe they listen [C] to this show and maybe some of my [Eb] folks go to an orchestra concert
and maybe some of the orchestra [F] fans would see [Eb] something like me, you know.
So it's good for that, [D] I think.
There's nothing quite like it, an [Eb] ensemble of this many people all making music together.
It's a real, it's a really exciting [G] sound.
[B] [G]
[Am] [G]
[Am] [G]
[Am] [G]
I'm excited.
I'm [D] excited to be here.
[C]
[Db] [Bb]
[C] [D] [Dbm]
I'm a hog, I need me a dog to do it.
Give me a real boy, I need me a dog to do it.
I'm a [E] [Ebm] hog, [Dbm] I'm a real [Gb] [Ab] [Dbm]
boy, [Abm] I'm a real boy.
[Dbm]
