[Gb] I was playing another one of these tunes for me [Bb] in the 1850s [C] and Francisco happens to also
[Dm] know a lot of Brazilian [C] music, because of course he [Bb] does.
[F] We were [Bb] playing this tune and he said, [F] that reminds me of a Brazilian tune I know.
And then you know, you realize that, you know, there's two Americas [N]
and the [Bb] early music
[Dm] of the people who were brought over here
[N] from Africa.
You know, when you dig into the research and you go think about that, that they were not
just from Africa, the continent, they were from all these different countries in [C] Africa.
And you imagine that you are brought to a new [F] world and you were next to somebody who
doesn't speak your language and then the people who [Bb] own you don't speak your language.
I mean, [F] it's just nobody is communicating other than eventually through music, you know.
And what happened in Brazil and in [C] South America [Bb] and like what the music did.
And so, you know, we're exploring that a little bit too.
How [C]
[F]
[Am] was the concert?
It was a lot of tuning with banjo and accordion.
Sounds great.
[Gm] Sorry I missed it.
