This song is Revival by the Allman Brothers off of the _ Idlewild South _ _ disc _ going back to _ 1970. _ _
_ Had a request for this one and so I _ wanted to get it up here. _ _
_ _ That intro part that I just showed you, _ well it's really the beginning of the intro.
There are several parts to the intro before the verse comes in. _ _ _
And that's the first part and that's a two part guitar harmony.
There's lots of two part harmony here in this song.
_ _ What I want to do is show you both parts of _ most everything in this song.
So _ _ here we go.
So again the intro, actually the intro before that guitar part is an acoustic guitar.
_ _ Which I'm not going to break that out but I'll give you a sense of the chords for it at the beginning.
_ _ _ _ So what that acoustic part is at the beginning, just for four bars as a pickup before the _ two guitars come in, is it goes like [A] this. _ _ _ _ _

[A] _ _ _ _ So all that is is A. _ _ _ _
And _ then I'm playing [E] A with a D in the bass.
So [F#m] that's, _ [D] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] instead of playing the D chord [D] like this, _ _ _ _ _ _ [A] you play the A open string and then your fourth finger [A#] is here on the F sharp note [A] on the fourth _ _ [G#m] _ fret fourth string.
[F#] _ So it's a [D] triad, _ _ _ _ one string [F#] lower for the D.

[C] And then the other two [F#m] notes is the rest of the D chord.
