For the [E] first time ever, [E] music videos of the Beatles' 27 [C] number one hit [F#] singles come together on [E] one DVD and Blu-ray [E] compilation.
[Em]
And [D] the deluxe edition includes a [G] further 23 rarely seen [C] videos to [D] enjoy.
Each [G] video has been [D] repaired, restored and [Em] remastered in high definition using the best original [D] source material, state-of-the-art technology and a highly [A] skilled restoration [B] team.
The
[Bm] [F]
[Bm] compilation booklet reveals the [F] stories behind each video [Bm] and those involved in their creation.
[B] She dove, [F#m]
standing in the rain, [B] won't try to [F#m] win it again.
[A] On the 11th of [F#] February 1968, [E] cameraman Mike [G#] Malloy was employed to [A] film a video for the [F#] Beatles' next single, [B] Lady Madonna.
I want to get some footage shot on the Beatles.
[F#] Can you grab a camera and go down to Abbey Road on Saturday morning and a few lights and just film them doing a [F#m] recording?
So I said, of [A] course.
[F#] I just walked up at the [E] studio with some lights and [F#] put some [Am] lights around and then came [F#m] the boys and, [B] you know, they were extremely pleasant to me.
[F#] But on that day, the Beatles were recording a new song, [Em] Hey Bulldog.
The only complaint was from Ringo because I had a very bright [C] light set up shining [Bm] down on the drum kit and [F] Ringo sat down [B] by the drums and picked up his drumsticks and said,
Hey, cameraman, this [Bm] light's too hot on me head.
[F] I said, [B] oh, sorry, Ringo.
So I put the lamp a lot [F#m] higher so [C#] it wasn't quite as hot on his [B] head.
So the video for Lady Madonna [F#m] had to be made from footage of the Beatles [A] playing an entirely different [F#m] song.
[E] All but three minutes of the footage filmed that [A] day was then [F#m] discarded.
[B] Over 30 years [G] later, that [B] unused footage was [B] found and Hey [F#m] Bulldog was born.
But only now [C#] has it been recreated in high definition from [F#] the original 35 [A] millimeter negative.
Some [F#m] kind of solitude [E] is measured out in you.
[A] You think you know me [B] but you haven't got a clue.
[Bm] [G] [B] Because you never know what's going to [E] happen with music, [C] you always start out or I [B] always start out by getting the meat of it.
So the [Bm] close ups were what you wanted to get first.
So I concentrated on John [B] and Paul [F] and [Bm] I [B] just thought, well, oh, you always see [Bm] those [F#m] shots that are so straight on.
I'll just get [B] down on the floor and lie on my back.
[F#m] I just shot it.
[B]
[F#m] I said, [B] look, if you don't mind, [F#m] could I need an end shot?
So no matter [B] how they use them, we've got something to [F] go out on.
[F#m] And I said, can I get we want to get the headphones [E] and put them on the bike and we'll put you in a music on top.
And we set the shot up and shot it.
