[Bb] You can go back to your fillers.
[C] [Bb]
[Bm] [Dm] [C]
[Dm] [Bb]
And if you even want to watch this, [F]
[C] what I'm doing is I'm holding these three notes and
I'm picking any random note at the top.
[F] So let's say we're in a nice worship mode.
We're in the key of F and what you can do is especially at the end of a song, instead
of just sitting there on that F, you can go to the four chord, which is [Bb] B flat.
Now I'm going to give you some filler chords that you can do to really set the atmosphere.
Now you guys remember this from our How to Flow.
So that's step one.
Step two, what you want to do [Fm] is we want to play some fillers.
Now if you listen to this, I'm going to, [Bb]
[Dm]
now you're probably thinking to yourself, I'm
playing some random notes.
I'm really not.
If you look here in step two [Bb] at the top, I'm doing a six, five, three, [E] seven.
Come and play it with me.
[C] Six, five, [Bb]
[C] three, seven.
Now the next step we're going to [Bb] do is we're going to fill in those chords.
So even though [Eb] we're right here, I'm going to show you the secret to really take this
up to the next level, to really create a cluster chord.
So we have our [Bb] six here.
Now if you look in this F scale, one, two, three, four, five, six, [G] seven, just keep going
up the scale.
So these three notes, we're going to move these down.
Now [Bb] this is all happening over this B flat.
Again, you're going to be able to play this in all 12 keys.
So we're here in this worship mode or this [C] atmosphere [Bb] mode of playing.
So we have [C] our six, move those three [Bb] down.
Same thing with the five.
We're going to go to [C] the five.
And what's above the five?
Six, seven, [Bb] one.
Move these three down here.
So we have this.
So we have our six at the top, five.
You got it.
Do the same thing [C] with the three.
So here's [F] the three.
We're going to [Bb] four, five, six.
These three notes in the scale, move them down here.
Keep the three at the top.
So if you look at this, we have our six, five, three.
And lastly, we have our seven here.
What's above the seven?
One, two, three.
Move them down here.
[C] So let's put this all [F] together.
Six, three, seven.
This is all happening [Bb] over that B flat.
And if you look at this from a chord standpoint, we have our six, which is a B flat, six, nine
with the 11th.
Now go to the five.
This is a B flat major.
Add the two, sharp the 11th.
And then we're going to go to our three.
This is a B flat nine without the fifth.
And then lastly, these are really like chord substitutions.
We have our seven.
[Am]
So we have a B flat, no chord.
Y'all know KC is known for creating chords that don't exist.
[A] Now I hope that this video is a blessing to you.
Ultimately, I want you guys to be able to play this in all 12 keys.
So I'm going to include a PDF [Bb] that breaks down all of these [C] chords in all 12 keys.
This is a move [F] that I taught in my Neo Soul [Bb] chord.
And you guys have seen this play before by the artist Terrence Vaughn.
He does a chord like this.
[Bm]
[F] [Am] [Bb]
So I wouldn't really hold it over the B flat, but this definitely can take you to the four.
So let's say [F] you're doing a song.
[Bb]
[Bm] [F] [C] [Dm]
Nice transition to get [F] you to that four.
I'll spell that out [Bb] for you.
First chord, you can see here, this is a B flat major nine with the 13.
And then we're going to go out of the key a little bit.
[D]
Now this is a different type of chord.
[Am] We're going out of the key.
Ultimately, [Bb] we're trying to get to our four chord, right?
So [Bm]
if you look at this, this is a G [Am] major nine 13.
So you got to hit this chord quick because you're out of the key, but it sounds [F] amazing.
So here [Bb] we go.
[D] [F] [Gm]
[F] This is my third [Gm] chord.
[F] Nice G minor nine with 11.
[Cm] [F] So we [Dm] have, [D] and then you can slur into that or you can hold it.
And then our third [Dm] chord is here.
[Gm]
[F] And then lastly, [Am]
and this is all happening over that B flat.
Listen to that.
Ooh, this is a [F]
B flat [C] major 13 sharp 11.
But without that [Dm] B flat, [C]
this is a nice D minor chord.
You can see here is a D minor nine with 11.
And this [Bb] is all over that [Am] four.
[Bb] Back to your four.
You can go back to your fillers.
[E]
[Bb] [Bm] [Dm] [C]
[Bb] Mm, mm, mm, mm.
Ha ha ha.
And if you even want, watch this.
[F]
[C]
What I'm doing is I'm holding these three notes and I'm picking any random note at the top.
[Bb] [C] Now, what random notes am I picking?
I'm picking any random note out of the F major scale.
[F]
[Gm] [F] [Bb]
Now, I hope that this video is a blessing to you.
Ultimately, I want you guys to be able to play this in all 12 keys.
[C] So I'm going to include a PDF [F] that breaks down all of these chords in all [Bb] 12 keys.
And you all know I never like to close any video without letting you know that today is a new [Am] day,
a new life, [Dm] and a new opportunity [C] for you to become a [Bb] better you.
Feel free to click this video below.
This will definitely take your playing up to the next level.
I'll introduce some additional cluster [Dm] chords that you can use to [Bb] enhance your playing.
So I love you guys so much, and I'll see you soon.
