[Eb] Okay, get ready, I'm going to hook another little [A] Jerry Reid [Gb] lesson for you here.
[Bb] I'm going to show you how to [C] play Jerry's [Gb] rhythm part [Eb] on,
[D] at the beginning of like,
Tennessee Stud [A] that he [G] did on the [Gb] album Me and Jerry, [Eb] [Gb] that he did with [Dm] Chet.
And it's a drop D tuning, and that's sort of the chord formation that Jerry's using.
The [D] pinkies on the 6th fret of the B string, the middle fingers on the 5th fret of the
G [Gb] string, and the [A] index fingers on the [F] 4th fret of the D string.
Keep this ring finger available because you're going to [Abm] need it.
And also remember [G] that on this rhythm part, that the index finger [A]
is on the D [Gm] string,
the [F] middle finger is on the G string, and the ring finger is on the B string.
Okay, [Dm]
so I'll play it for you slow, and then I'll play it for you up to speed.
I'll tell you some little [F] tricks in there, [G] in this as well.
[Bb] So here we [Dm] go.
[G] [Dm]
[G] [Dm]
[G] [Dm]
Okay, you'll notice that [Bb] there's a little bend in there, [Eb] and also the [Bm] middle finger
[F] slides back from the 5th to the [Dm] 4th fret.
It's [Bb] going to take you a while to [D] get that [Gm] little stretch there from that [F] ring finger
and that [Dm] index finger there.
[G] [Dm]
Of course, Jerry's a [Gb] whole lot faster than [Dm] that.
His is more like

[Dm]
He's got a little bend.
You [Bb] can hear it on the [Dm] album.
So [D] I hope you guys had a little [Gb] fun with that.
I did, and it's a [D] neat little tune.
It's got some other little licks in there that I haven't learned yet.
But [Eb] I highly [G] recommend for anybody who [Gb] hasn't really listened to the albums, me and Chet
and [A] me and Jerry, to get those [D] albums.
Sometimes you can find the
[Gb] It's a twofer that was made by Oneway [F] on eBay once in a while.
It's a little pricey, but it's well worth it.
As far as I'm [D] concerned, those two albums are [Gb] the greatest masterpieces that were ever [A] made.
