I think that's why I've been kind of really into songwriting [Ab] this past year.
I've been writing a lot more because there's absolutely nothing [B] in between you and your instrument.
You'll sit down and you'll start from scratch [Eb] and kind of create 100% what it is that you want to create.

And when I started writing lyrics this past year, that kind of [Ab] emphasized that, that whole way of writing.
Having the control over the lyrics and the music, it's given me a different kind of freedom
to express what I really want to say.
