Peaceful and [F#] so far away, [B] a gross
Did you think about going [F#] out, you know, as a solo artist,
[C#] you know, with [F] this record?
I'm gonna.
That's right around the bend.
I mean, I did the
I came up with the in-store notions to keep the ball rolling.
Two-fold.
One, to appease the label,
and one also to sort of wet my feet
and see if I could actually get up there and do it.
And it was very pleasurable.
It was fun.
I didn't know the words and stuff, and they didn't care.
And the best thing, it was everyone there wanted to be there.
It wasn't like I was opening for another group
that they had just to bother and sit through me.
So I think I've learned enough to play to my audience
if I'm going to play.
And there's still a chance that I could put together a, you know,
like on, I played a television show
with a couple backing musicians
where we just did a grandpa boy thing.
I'd like to still do a few [A] outdoor, just raise hell,
but I think the solo tour is what I'm going to concentrate on.
[F#]
Talk about the kind of songs that you found yourself coming up with.
A lot of it was pure,
and another writer actually helped me with this
because I was, you know, dumbfounded
and could not think of an answer,
and he suggested perhaps
[N] I was doing it to entertain myself.
And it's like, yes, that's why I did it when I was 13 and 19.
And that gives me the feeling like it's starting all over again
because I spent a year waiting for my life to change in some way,
which didn't happen.
And then you know what it's like where it's like I want to read,
but I'm tired of my books, I don't know who to read,
and I want to listen to music, and I'm sick of everything.
So I went down and made the music that I wasn't hearing.
[C#]
And that's how I started out initially, you know,
with the mats and even before.
So that's the springboard for all of the songs,
that these were the songs that [E] I wanted to [A#] hear,
not with a sense of there's an audience out there waiting for them.
[F#] I just was entertaining myself.
You [B] got your days to call
You can [G#] say I [F#] didn't care
