Anyway, one day I picked [C] up a mandolin.

whether it was tuned like a guitar
and I'd be able to play it,
or whether it was tuned differently.
It turned out it [Gm] was tuned quite differently.
So it was great, it [F] was like a learning experience.
[N] So this isn't the actual one,
this is one that was used in the video.
This is Mr.
Michel Gondry, who did the video,
concocted this one, which is kind of a groovy version.
But anyway, I worked out a couple of [F] chords.

Anyway, so I did the song,
and I was at home and my little daughter at the time was,

and [N] she'd dance around everywhere, you know.
So I ended up making this song,

So we got out an old wooden plank
and I'm starting to just bang, bang.
I can't do it here because there's carpets.

Yeah, so we got that.
And then I played [C] the [E] mandolin
and we built it up and made the record.
And then I was gonna do a video.
So I [F] liked the work of Michel Gondry, French director.
[Ab] So I asked him if he would do it.
[F] And before that though, I rang Natalie Portman,
who I knew [Eb] a little bit,
and it [C] was an off chance, a bit of a long shot.
So I thought, let [F] me try anyway.
So I rang her, hey Natalie, I'm gonna do this video.
Would you consider being in it?
[Bb] She was great.
She [C] said, yeah, sure.
So she came [F] along and then I rang Michel and said,
look, I've got Natalie Portman.
Would you make this video for us?
He was very excited.

to play the postman in it.
So Natalie [Ab] plays like a little sort of nymph,
a [F] little sort of fairy appears out of a box.
And it was great to do it.

and he put all his special effects in there.
