[N] chords I'm [G] going to teach you a very popular passing chord [Ab] that's used in gospel [Em] music
[C] and that passive chord is a 4-3-2-1 passive chord progression and this progression is normally used
when you're approaching a 7-3-6 progression.
[A] So first before I break it down let me demonstrate
to [G] you how the chords sound and I'm going to be playing in the key of B [N] flat.
[G] I'm going to play it
two [N] ways.
[Ab] [Eb]
[Dm] [Ab]
[F]
[Dm] [G]
[Cm] All right so that's basically [B] the 4-3-2 [Cm]-1 progression [Bb] 4 [Ab]-3 [Eb]-2 [Dm]-1 then the [G] 7 -3 [Cm]-6
progression.
All right so now what I'm [B] going to do like I said it's played in the key of E flat
[N]
and what I'm going [Abm] to do is demonstrate that 4-3 [G]-2-1 progression.
[N]
[B] In the last segment I showed
you how to do that [Ab] 4-3-2-1 [F] passive chord progression and basically [A]
I showed you two
notes in the right hand but you also can play three notes okay [B] and the reason why [Bb] I showed
you the two notes [Ab] first because that's the most common [N] one that is used in gospel music and that's
the one that I use a lot but sometimes [A] I do alternate I do use [B] the three note so I'm also
show you the three [Ab] note chord.
So the left hand pretty much going to stay the same okay and the
right hand it's going [C] instead of G and C [G] I'm going to play D, G and C [Ab] a three note chord.
[N]
[Ab] In the last segment [A] last two segments I showed you and demonstrated a [Ab] 4-3-2-1 passive chord
e to the 7-3-6 progression [B] and in this particular section I'm going to demonstrate and show you how
to use [Ab] it in different types of [N] song.
[A] Okay let's [F] do another song okay.
[Eb]
You know Jesus [Bb]
you [G] are 7-3-6
[Cm] all [Ab] right progression [Eb] so you [Bb] know Jesus you [D] are [G] 7-3-6 [F] the center [A] okay or we would [Eb] go
[Ab] Jesus [Dm] you are see that passive chord then [G] you go to that 7-3-6 progression
[B] and finish that part of [Eb] our song or Jesus you [Dm]
[Bb] are or Jesus [Eb] [Dm] okay you are
all right so that's that passive chord you could do it in that song.
