right old crow medicine show live on lightning 100 sounding great in our studio
And I think just even after hearing that one song if you've never heard old crow medicine before you get why the show tomorrow night
Is sold out and there's not many tickets left for their show tonight at Ryman auditorium.
It starts at 7 30 p.m. With Carolina chocolate [Gb] drops, you know, you guys are touring in support of your new record, Tennessee pusher It just came out a couple weeks ago and it is is this your third official full-length studio record? I think it is. I think it's been It's about our third go-around at this chance of making a good new record for everybody out there It's it's the first time you guys got to work with Don was Previously you worked with David [E] Rawlings. Can you tell me about how you guys got hooked up with Don was well, he called us and [Bb] Asked us to make a record for him, which was exciting and we got a chance to go out to Hollywood [N] to make it And now is this uh, had you made your records before here on the East Coast? [Bb] Well the Third Coast Right here in Nashville Dan right here in Music City So it was a little change of pace for us to head out to the West Coast to do it But it's great [N] to be back in Nashville and it's great to be playing at the Ryman tonight We got a big [E] show planned for all the people out there Got a few [B] tickets left on a Thursday night and [Bb] we're gonna be rock-solid Tell me about playing Ryman auditorium. You guys have played it a ton of times over the years You've been part of Grand Ole Opry and like playing with Marty Stewart's late-night jam Do you have some some favorite memories? Is it your favorite place to play or it's a pretty big stage You [B] guys have played at small places. I'd say [Gb] it's pretty close to maybe our favorite place It's definitely one of my favorites but we seem to always find ourselves back at the Ryman like you said for whatever [G] event seems to be happening the [Gb] Marty Stewart [Eb] or just the Opry when they do the Opry in the winter months But man, we always seem to end up [Ab] there and it seems like a great place for our music, you know And as far as the difference between playing inside [B] a historic place like Ryman [Bb] auditorium or playing an outdoor show Do you guys do you guys [C] have a preference on playing indoors or outdoors? I mean it I like playing on the front porch and I [Bb] like playing in the backyard But I like playing in the attic too. And I think the acoustics in the bathroom are really [Ab] nice Old Crow medicine show here in the studios this afternoon. It's a great to have him here
