His idea was to write together

and neither [A] of us had any pressure or agenda.
I feel like I was pretty [D] open to whatever happened
and [F] excited to just sort of explore something.

And then when we were done,
the entire record got way darker.

We heard, we did [G] that song, it was almost a mistake.

But it's a cool song.
But it gave [Db] us more focus for [Bb] the rest of the album
as to what [F] kind of record we were trying to make.
