Ladies and gentlemen, friends from around the world, we are here at [Gb] the Friendly Gathering in the [G] friendship with Monophonics.
We also have [Gb] a fan over Skype, Jeremy.
[Gb] How you doing, Jeremy?
Good, guys.
How you doing?
Good, man.
Good.
What song do you guys have for us today?
[C] We're gonna do a song called Find My Way Back Home.
It's off of the record we just released last year.
It's called Sound of Singing.
Alright, take it [B] away.
[Gbm] [Ebm]
[B]
[Gb] [Ebm]
[Bbm] [B]
[Bbm] [B] [Bbm] [Abm]
When it [Db] goes black to my baby, [Abm] well here I go, I'm leaving [Db] again.
[Abm]
A test of how [Db] strong my love [Bbm] really is.
[Abm]
I'm on the outside [Db] looking in.
I tell you [Ebm] baby, that woman's love, and that woman's love [B] helped me find my way back home.
Helped me find my way [Bb] back home.
Baby, I [Ebm] tell you now, in your good love, [Ebm] in your good love, [B] helped me find my way [Bbm] back home.
[B] Helped me find my way back home.
[Abm]
Twenty-two days [Db] I've been, I'm missing that [Bbm] girl, oh [Abm] yeah.
Cause it's a long [Db] and windy road.
[Abm]
A test of how [Db] strong my love really [Gb] is.
[Abm]
And I'm tired of her [Db] feeling alone.
Take the bridge, Robyn.
[Gb]
She keeps telling me, [Ebm] I can't live this way.
[Gb]
I keep telling her, [Ebm] baby, I'll be back soon, yeah.
[Bbm]
She keeps crying, [Ebm] oh, on the telephone.
[Gb]
I keep telling her, [Ebm] ooh, I'm gonna find my way [Abm] back home.
[Db] [Gb] I'll find [Abm] my way back home.
[Gb] All [B] [Db] [Abm]
[F] [Db] [Abm]
[Db] right.
Uh-huh.
[Ebm]
And that woman's love, and that woman's love [B] helped me find my way back home.

[Ebm] Baby, I'm coming home to you.
And that woman's love, say it again now.
And your sweet [B] love helped me find my way back home.
Helped me find my [Bbm] way back home.
This [Eb] is where I wanna [Ebm] go, baby.
And your good love made me talk.
And your good love [B] helped me find my way back home.
Helps me find [Bbm] my way back all the way [Ebm] to California.
Say, and that good love, now your good love, baby.
And your good loving [B] helps me find my way back home.
Helps a man [Bbm] find his way [Db]
home, back [B] home.

[E]
I [Eb] love your guys' kind of vibe.
It's like a real funky, bluesy rock type vibe that you have going on.
I'm curious, who does, writes the lyrics?
[Ab] I write the lyrics.
You write the lyrics.
Where do you get your inspiration [Gb] for those?
They're such like, old [Db] school blues lyrics, and I love it.
And it goes real well with the place.
I don't know, [C] it's just, [Gbm] you know, I try and keep it, you know,
there's most [Gb] definitely some personal lyrics and personal feelings and experiences,
but I think what those are, are pretty [G] ubiquitous and really can relate to anybody and everybody.
Yeah.
So I think [Gb] that's why maybe it [Dbm] feels natural, because what [Ab] I'm saying is what a lot of people are [Db] thinking
or feeling or, you know, so yeah, I mean, it's just kind of an honest approach, you know.
Well, I was definitely feeling that, that's for sure.
How did you guys all meet and kind of decide on your vision and your, you know,
your sound that [D] you're going for?
We met back in college, [G] actually high school really,
[Ab] and it was kind of like a conversion of two different bands.
[Gb] Through the years, we kind of lost a couple guys, gained a couple [B] guys,
and then Kelly was the most recent addition, and that [Gb] was like six years ago now.
It's been [E] a while, and he kind [Gb] of slowly started singing with us,
and we're like, oh man, you're pretty good at singing.
Maybe do that a little more, I don't know.
[C] He's got that [Gb] voice.
He started killing the game, so.
Awesome.
And here we are today.
[Ab] Awesome.
Yeah, man, thanks for the questions, brother.
Absolutely, [B] thanks for playing for me.
And, you know, if you come out to the show, come say hello.
It'd be nice to meet you in person.
I definitely will, definitely will.
Thanks, [Eb] man, have a great day.
Kill it out there tonight.
I will.
You will.
