[E] What made you decide to join the band?
I did not really choose, so basically I was at university [B] in Algeria, I used to study
English, I was going to be an English teacher, and there was this campaign where you go to
London to kind of learn English and have that experience with the native speakers, and then
because I've got a [E] brother there, I met a couple of musicians, they play in a band,
and they [B] were like, do you want to join [D] in and stuff, so I was like, [Bm] I might as well stay.
So my brother helped me and I stayed and I started doing music.

[A] [Bm] I'd say [D] Michael Jackson, I'm very, very, I mean, when I was young I used to just listen
to a lot of European music and a lot of rock music as well.
And then I think when I [A] started writing in Arabic, [D] I started to listen to Hassan Ilaya.
It was a bit of a ride to [Bm] kind of get that feel and touch to [A] add to my English [E] influence.
[G] What [Bm] does it mean to you to be a member of the band?
It means a [A] lot.
First of all, I'm excited, I'm [E] very excited.
As I was saying [D] earlier, I love the [Bm] fact that you guys are mixing, just like [A] it's Kaftan
from all different [Bm] countries and stuff like that.
Yeah, it's basically, it represents me as [B] an artist because that's what I do.
I try to mix cultures and to bring something [G] new.

Yes, [Bm] indeed, I think I just jumped the question, but yeah, I really like it.
I like the fact that you're doing this [A] mix thing, looking forward to seeing [E] it.
