Guitarist that the Rolling Stones ever had.
Mick Taylor's career has spanned five decades and countless successful musical projects.
These days he is touring with his band and promoting his latest album, A Stone's Throw.
And we are delighted that Mick joins us today to perform.
Great to see you, great to meet you.
Hello, it's nice to be here.
When you hear people say that you are the best rock guitarist ever,
who does that make you feel?
Well, very humble.
I wouldn't say I was the best rock guitarist ever.
I'm probably the best guitar player, lead guitar player of the Rolling Stones I've had.
What was it like working with them?
It was great.
Crazy, fun.
Oh, I bet those were some crazy days back then.
They still are apparently.
They still are.
I hear they did a big show here a week ago.
They did, but you didn't see it obviously.
No.
Alright, well your latest album, just tell us something about it.
What was your motivation and how was it different from your other albums?
It was, there were more original songs on it.
And, um, um.
Okay, well that said.
And it was very much a, but it's still very much a rhythm and blues thing.
Excellent, we want to hear something from you.
Thanks so much for [Dm] joining us.
Thank you.
