Today we're headed into the artist Michael Bolton, the song we're going into is When
a Man Loves a Woman.
The only way I can actually remember this song, which is actually funny, when I used
to watch, what was it, Nick at Night, they had this commercial that I played all the
time where it was like the greatest hits, CDs, I know a lot of you guys probably remember
that, I was a kid, you guys probably were, you know, whatever [C#] age you guys were.
But it was the same repetitive commercial, and it had like Luther Vandross and all these
other artists, I couldn't think of the rest.
I remember the songs in order, that's how popular this commercial was, I can replay
that commercial in my head right now as it goes down.
And I remember this song being on it.
It's the only time I heard it.
That little 5 second little window it came on, it's the only time I can remember this song.
So, I'm excited to hear this song fully through and hear what he can do, and I'm in a different
mindset to understand his vocals and all that good stuff, so this will be a fun pass.
This is gonna be, I believe, the official music video on this one.
To my new subscribers, I want to thank you guys for coming over and supporting me on this channel.
Also want to let you guys know I don't talk, skip, or pause during my reactions.
I'll wait to the end to give you my honest detail breakdown, so wait for that.

for [G#] [A#m]
a [C#] sleeper in the rain.

they don't they don't exist like this anymore this is definitely
[E] That discussion we had I went back
On my last video that we were talking about this with the male artists down this
avenue and genres of music existing
And and when was the cutoff point and a lot of you guys had some good points and valid points of when it when it
Ended some of you guys said the 90s
Mid 90s was like that that point where it kind of died off where you didn't get artists as such like this anymore, which I
thought back in my head, too
I might have been a little little guy, but you know, I went back to the 90s.
I remember music me listen to the 90s
And I think that was it and when it transitioned from
You didn't really get like r&b singers or soulful singers as such is this anymore
But then the question comes we got the date, but the question becomes why you know
that's still a red flag where we can't figure out or
Gather, you know why you know that that's where the we question it.
I think that's gonna remain in question
You know, we can blame it on the industry.
We can blame it on
Maybe artists changing the game or didn't want to be emotionally attached or show emotion over the mic.
I don't know
But that's just where where the question is still asked To why?
Now to michael bolt now that i've heard it
The only thing I can think of in my head guys is right when that song ended
I just wanted to say thank you guys for tuning in
You can have this cd for just two easy payments for 9.99 just to call 1-800, you know, etc.
I saw I
It it haunts me to the day this to this day.
This commercial haunts me
I've seen it posted like on social media that commercial they were saying like who remembers being asleep in this commercial coming on
And all I can remember is like so many people living through the 90s in that commercial actually
Like playing over and over
And i'm trying to think of the song that came after this
It might have been luther vandross the song that came after this on that commercial
But it's crazy man.
It's it's it's insane.
But uh, listen to michael
Oh, man, uh, I gotta give credit vocally man.
This he has range he has
a significant amount of range in his vocals um
Towards the end I knew
He can carry a high note easily
But towards the end when he hit he went into like a soprano type
Note, I was like whoa because I knew it was capable but like hearing it
I didn't think he can go that high like I knew his volume was there
But I don't think he can go that high and he hit it with ease and this is this man on stage
And we talk about guys being on stage and they're not actually up there singing and lip-syncing.
No
I believe michael's up there doing what michael's doing and he's singing live on that mic
So to hear his range and so clear as it was is phenomenal the voice control he has
It's phenomenal.
Normally you can hear artists
Just stuttering over
Notes like that
You can kind of hear them miss because they're carrying the range so high and then coming back down so fast and going into a low note
He carries it with ease
But it's the passion behind music like this to the passion and what he's when he's on that stage you just feel
The emotion the passion showing love what the song is about
Um, and I think a lot of artists like that carry that, you know, you actually felt the love and emotion behind their music
compared to like music
Today where they're singing about even if you do get a love song if there's any even out there any artist making it
I just don't feel the the love and emotion being the way it is
And then witnessing him on him on stage.
It's a different
Even through a cd
It's a different emotion you still feel it you feel the what he's trying to get across you feel his emotion of the love
caring for a woman
It's hard to feel that now it is and I it takes away
I don't know.
I think it just scars the music industry like why?
Is it not what people want or is it just the artists are saying?
No, we're not doing this no more
This is not like we're not old.
We're not gonna be making love songs
But I know this is michael's one of his popular songs.
So this is what we're gonna do
Um, I know this is one of his hit songs because it was on the radio a lot went out on the radio
But I heard on that commercial a lot
I want to see vocally what he can do on other tracks too because I know he has some good hits out there
I can tell by this song
There's more music out there.
So drop in the comment section more michael

_ they don't they don't exist like this anymore this is definitely
[E] That discussion we had I went back
On my last video that we were talking about this with the male artists down this
avenue and genres of music existing
And and when was the cutoff point and a lot of you guys had some good points and valid points of when it when it
Ended some of you guys said the 90s
Mid 90s was like that that point where it kind of died off where you didn't get artists as such like this anymore, which I
thought back in my head, too
I might have been a little little guy, but you know, I went back to the 90s.
I remember music me listen to the 90s
And I think that was it and when it transitioned from
_ You didn't really get like r&b singers or soulful singers as such is this anymore _
But then the question comes we got the date, but the question becomes why you know
that's still a red flag where we can't figure out or _
Gather, you know why you know that that's where the we question it.
I think that's gonna remain in question
You know, we can blame it on the industry.
We can blame it on _
Maybe artists changing the game or didn't want to be emotionally attached or show emotion over the mic.
This he has range he has
a significant amount of range in his vocals _ um
Towards the end I knew
_ He can carry a high note easily
But towards the end when he hit he went into like a soprano type
_ Note, I was like whoa because I knew it was capable but like hearing it
I didn't think he can go that high like I knew his volume was there
But I don't think he can go that high and he hit it with ease and this is this man on stage
And we talk about guys being on stage and they're not actually up there singing and lip-syncing.
No
I believe michael's up there doing what michael's doing and he's singing live on that mic
_ So to hear his range and so clear as it was is phenomenal the voice control he has
It's phenomenal.
Normally you can hear artists
_ Just stuttering over
Notes like that
You can kind of hear them miss because they're carrying the range so high and then coming back down so fast and going into a low note
_ But I know this is michael's one of his popular songs.
Um suggestions, don't forget to like subscribe and i'll see you guys in my next video _
