[Ebm] Oh, yesterday, before me you were gone.
[Eb] While this morning, oh, will I find another one?
Monkey on my back, wiggling in my bones.
God, she said, one day you'll walk alone.
Said that means me, that makes me grown.
Am I human?
Are you feeling strong?
My heart will burn dead, this bloody road.
A hole in my heart, [B] a hole in my head.
[F]
[Gb] [Ab] Lord, help me up, [Eb]
[Gb] or else I'll catch [Eb] me dead.
[F]
[Gb] Or else [Ab] I'll turn [Eb] [Db] my final [B] stand.
[Ab]
[E] Will [Gb] you dream about [Ab] me?

[Ebm] I'm sure you love my [Eb] past.
[Ebm] Didn't think that was in the past.
I should've cut back on her.
Her pain was my cause, my hand was there.
God, help me now, help me up, help me [Ebm] dead.
The rain turns [Db] down, [Eb] you call me lost.
To me, I'm [Ebm] the one.
Turned on [Db] my [Eb] heart, I won't [C] be [Ebm] alone.
Remember that [B] you said, [Ab] one day you'll [Eb] walk [Fm] [Gb] alone.
[Ab] Lord, help me [Eb] up, [Db] [Gb] or [Ab] else I'll catch me [Eb] dead.
[F] [Gb] Or [Ab] else I'll turn my [Eb] knees, this is my [B] word.
[Ab]
[E] [Gb] In a dream, I [Ab] cannot sleep.
[E] [Gb] Take the last [Ab]

[Ebm] Hey [F]
Rock fans, what's up?
This lyrics seems to be personal to Dave Mustaine.
I did a little research on the internet, and I didn't find anything [N] directly said by him.
But on several different sites, different people share the same story and theory.
That I found plausible to be [E] true.
The [Eb] story goes like this.
Who is a fan of Megadeth, [Gb] must know that Dave Mustaine was a chemical addict
and went through rehabilitation several [Eb] times.
In one of these times, [Bb] he became very close to the [Eb]
rehabilitation counselor.
The two kept in touch frequently, and he helped Dave to stay sober.
But the guy died, and Dave, without the support he had in this friend,
ended up having a relapse and going back to chaos, which are drugs.
In the first part of the lyrics, Dave is lamenting the death of his friend
and the fact of [E] being alone again in [Ebm] this fight against drugs.
The chorus, for me, describes Dave's relapse and the effect that drugs have on him.
[B] But in the second part [Eb] of the lyrics, Dave remembers that the counselor told him that
[D] one day he would have to walk alone.
So he gets up on his own and tries to face this challenge once again.
[Bb] Even in the memory of his friend.
[N] And that's it Rock fans.
If someone appears in the comments saying that this song is about Metallica, I'll block.
Just kidding.
