I'm going to put the song on the go right now, eh?
[F#] So!
Middle of June, a hot air balloon, it started raining [C#]
nails.
[F#]
Afternoon, my garden I'm doing, the heavens send [C#] me hail.
Yeah, I [F#] go out for a drink, I get my face ching-ching, wake up [C#] in jail.
Yeah.
[F#] The eagles are far and wide, and learning to fly, and talking to [C#] the angels.
[D#m] Filming a new video for the fourth track of the album, a song called Ratio.
[C#] To be honest, it's probably the band, as a collective, I'd say our favourite family [D#m] album.
Yeah, and a lot, since the album's come out, people have, people have sort [B] of
been asking if we are going to be making a video for it, so it's the obvious choice [F#] really.
I'm Adam.
I'm Alex.
It's all going good so [C#] far, yeah, a really enjoyable experience.
It's basically about, [D#m] you know, without being cheesy, the bad, sort of bad things happening,
not, not, not [B] catastrophically bad things, but like, every day grind, grinding you down,
and [F#] then just at the end of the week, just wanting to go out and have a drink and have a good time,
and [C#] yeah, so that's it really.
I think there's an undercurrent of, sort of, dark [F#] comedy to it,
some of the lines in it are quite funny, but in a dark way.
[C#]
[F#]
This is Carl, the rhythm [C#] guitarist of the Massive Wagon.
And this is Big Bad Belder, who's the bass man.
[D#m] Well, the album came out end of April, but yeah, we've enjoyed, enjoyed the press we've had.
[C#] We've got most of, most of the songs from the album in the [D#m] set now, and we're playing most
of them live.
There's one or two that's still [B] waiting to, they're still in the polishing
process, and they'll be in the set pretty soon.
[F#]
[C#] We started off with me down at the office, [D#m] so Bowser's dad was pretending to be my boss,
and [B] the scene was I'm dead stressed at work, and he's putting more and more work on,
and he's telling me to [C#] do it, and he keeps calling me a slack, slack bastard, as he said.
So I get a [D#] mountain of work, and then I just [G#] can't cope, and I [C#] stand up and throw everything
in the air, and [D#] tell him to stick his job up his arse.
Carl, he owns a Mustang, so that was breaking [B] down in the middle of nowhere,
which happens a surprising amount, actually.
Just a normal scene.
It's just a [C#] normal scene.
Bowser comes home and finds his wife with another, with another guy.
I'm Adam's wife.
Yeah, mine, mine.
[D#] [C#] I'm getting bullied in the pub by two meatheads.
You know, [D#] nothing that's like, oh, you know, oh, my dog's dead.
Nothing like that.
[B] Just sort of everyday things that everyone goes through, you know.
We put a thing out on Facebook, and white people come down, and yeah, they're absolutely
done as proud.
Best people, that's who's turned up today.
Come from all over.
People from [C#] up Scotland, and from Manchester, and all [D#] over the place.
They've all turned up here in Lancaster.
This is where we're from.
[B] Just ready to be in the video.
It's absolutely overwhelming, really.
Fantastic.
We're going to [C#] do a crowd scene.
Thanks everyone for coming.
40, 50 people downstairs, and turn up upstairs [F#] in a minute, and [G#]
do some leaping around, and
some, yeah, it's going to be good.
It's going to be good, I think.
We've all got plenty to drink, I hope.
[C#] I'm [C] Ruthleen in Wigan.
[C#m] I'm from Hotshield.
Kendall from Brigham.
[D#m] I'm from Wigan, near Leith.
Newcastle, up north.
London.
[Bm] Right, can I stop you for a second?
I'm the [B] only person with a wagon [C#] tattoo.
Hell yeah.
Because I'm the only person with a wagon t-shirt.
Oh, yeah, [E] don't you try.
[D#] And I'm the only person with a [G#] t-shirt three sizes too small.
And [D#]
I'm the only person without a wagon t-shirt.
[B]
It's the first kind of video we've done like [C#] this.
We've done a few other videos in the past, and they've been like performance based, really.
But [F#] we really wanted something like a story.
That's why we got in touch with Pad, because we've seen the stuff he's [C#] done with 13 Stars.
And really, really loved it.
We thought Pad does [D#] a great job.
And we contacted him, and he's been [D#] so thorough and [C#] storyboarded it all.
And [C#] straight away, they came up with a concept [F#] that we were banging into.
Like, you can get it, you can see yourselves getting into it, you know.
[F#] And they [C#] really thought about it.
It fits the song really well.
And [C#m] Pad's the top of my mind.
Yeah.
So [D#] glad we liked to get this video on.
Yeah.
It's been great fun.
It's been great fun doing it [B] this way, rather than spending all day in a
one room doing multiple shots [F#] of the same take, really.
It's [C#] great to get out and film different things and be a bit spontaneous.
Really appreciate everyone coming down and [D#m] mucking in, having a drink,
having a good time, having a dance and that.
Yeah, it's good.
