[G#m] Hi, how are [E] you?
I'm Bill from Guitar Center.
I'd like to show you a guitar from Martin called the Triple-O-15M.
[A]
The Triple-O-15M came [F#m] about in the [B] 1930s during the Great Depression.
Martin and [E] others in the guitar business were forced to make very economically priced guitars
because nobody had any money, unemployment was high, and so they came out with this bare
bones model called the Triple [A]-O-15M.
And here it is, [B] still alive after all [G#] this time, [G#m] and it has gathered a [A] huge cult following
over the years.
It [B] sounds great, it looks [Bm] basic, [E] but it's full of rich tone.
[G#]
[E] [G] [A]
[E]
[A] It's made in Nazareth, [G] Pennsylvania at the Martin factory.
[D#m] The body [E] size of the Triple-O-15 is what we call a Triple-O body, that's a Martin designation.
The body name would be known probably as an auditorium-sized body.
So it's not really small, and it's not [A] really big, it's a [B] really comfortable guitar.
The body is made of all [A] solid mahogany.
Mahogany on the back, on the sides, [B] and on the top.
This is Honduran [E] mahogany, it's the best kind.

[F#m] [Bm] [E] The [G#] Triple-O-15M has a neck [A] that's also solid mahogany.
[E] Atop the neck is a fingerboard [A] made of rosewood, [E] and the bridge is also made of rosewood.
The neck attaches to the body with a [Bm] dovetail neck joint.
[E] If we look at the tuners, these are [G#m] butterbean [C#] style tuners, [A] they're open [G#m] gear, very vintage
looking, [E]
[B] but very high quality.
[E] [B] [A]
[G#m] [A] [E]
The inlays on the fingerboard are what's known as squares and diamonds, a popular pattern
on a lot of Martin guitars.
The [A] pickguard is a Del [E] Mar tortoiseshell [F#m] style pickguard.
[A] Looking here at the saddle, [E] and up here at the nut, both are made from bone, acknowledged
to be the best material [B] for these parts.
[F#] [E] [A] [E]
[B] [C#m] The [B] finish is lacquer.
It's [C#] a very thin, [E] thin coating [F#] applied to the wood.
The [E] thinness allows [C#m] more of the sound [A] to escape through the wood, while at the same [G#m] time [F#m] protecting
it from the elements.
