Does avoiding these lower frequencies, as you put it, have anything to do with the diet
that you've chosen?
Yeah, they all come hand in hand, but it's not why I went there.
I asked Roger beforehand.
I have friends who need to keep their blood sugar level fairly
even because they were heroin addicts at one point.
They have diabetic issues.
Okay.
I'm sorry, we don't need to out that.
You can edit that if you're uncomfortable.
No, no, no.
I'm saying so they do.
They do?
Yes.
Blood sugar issues, hypoglycemia.
Literally like a bucket of rice needs to go into their arm everywhere they go and they
eat cold rice to avoid the insulin thing.
See, that's the thing.
See, that's, you get a whole other conversation, but they think
they need the bucket of rice.
Actually, if they were to engage in a much more natural diet for humans, they wouldn't
need all those grains and things which actually just perpetuate the situation.
I mean, white
rice or whatever or bread is perpetuating the situation as much as them [N] eating her Hershey
bar.
And we need, we operate both [A] our brains and muscles on [G#] simple carbs.
Sure.
Sugar.
Fruit and all that.
And certain vegetables.
So I eat basically a raw, primarily [F#] fruit based diet.
Occasional [F#] [F] nuts and seeds.
But anything with seeds in it is a fruit.
So I'm just talking about tomatoes, avocados,
squash, cucumber, and then all the sweet fruits.
I've been doing this for six years [G#] and I was on the road for a very long time and my relationships
were going down the [N] tubes.
And I wasn't, the road situation didn't allow me to make music.
I was traveling the world, seeing all these wonderful sites and hanging out with my friends
and having an incredible time.
But I wasn't with, I wasn't home nurturing relationships
that really fueled me.
I wasn't taking care of myself with sleep and diet.
And I wasn't nurturing a relationship with myself as a creator and just taking care of
myself, meddling emotionally.
And that's fine when you're 25 [G] and when you're 30.
And you're really 30.
And they start chipping away at you.
It's like anything else.
And
any abusive behavior, whether it's smoking cigarettes or drinking coffee, depending on
how much you do it, you're borrowing from the future.
Period.
And then you get the,
okay, time to lay off.
You hear this Henry Paulson?
Are you hearing this Henry Paulson?
No.
You know, it's only the super, super rare instances like Keith Richards, these people
who are still, who are basically embalmed because they've abused their bodies so much
that are still walking.
Most of us are going to fall over long before that.
And my body
sent some very loud signals to the surface.
Well, it's been sending them forever.
Oh, yeah.
It's when did I start paying attention?
So somewhere around my mid-thirties, about six, seven years ago, I started paying attention.
Pulled myself off the high of the back to him, which was very sad.
But I knew I wanted
to, I needed to make more music too.
And I couldn't do it from the road.
No, there's no time for anything.
Man, and I tried.
I had the portable computer.
I was doing remixes out of my hotel room.
I remember doing a remix for Fantastic Plastic Machine, the Japanese DJ.
Who I love.
It's a remix.
Should have taken me three, three and a half days.
It took me three weeks.
So I was like, man, I got to do a shift.
And I had no intention of doing a solo record
or anything like that.
That became a byproduct of me having more organized time at home.
And going, hey, maybe if in my off hours I worked on my own stuff that's just still
sitting in me, you know, just sitting there.
God, that was a great song.
Too bad Jellyfish
didn't record it.
God, that was a great song.
Too bad Imperial Drag didn't record it.
Let's finish it.
