We wanted [F] to use George Harrison's song, Why My Guitar Gently Weeps, and the version that
everybody knows, which is on the albums, was going to be used in the show.
But then Dominic, [E] who has been trawling through the anthology all the time, listened to one
of the tracks [Am] where George virtually made a demo, and he liked this [Fm] very much.
And I did agree with him, it had a wistful quality that the master didn't have.
This song is such a tender song for George, and George isn't with [F] us anymore, and
[Bb] it's
weighed [D] very heavily on me.

[Bb] Yeah, absolutely.
And [D] playing a Beatle string [G] session, and at the end of it, they [Bm] gave you a big bouquet of flowers.
[Em] They gave me two dozen red roses.
[Bm] Normally they hand out invoices.
[A] So there's [D] a
I was knocked out by that.

[Em] [Bm] We [A] discovered that here, there was a little pearl who had developed [D] over the last year,
since the creation of this show, a very [Gm] talented way of drawing things and playing [Bb] with shadows and light.
And then I [E] met with him, I said, well, what if you would try to [Eb] feed this relationship
in [Gm] between one dancer trying to [F] play with a character that [C] you would draw, so we could
follow [D] the path of her never [Gm]
happened love story.
[E] When we were here [Eb] in February, and Danny [Gm] Pong was putting that visual [F] together, between
Apple and Cirque, [Bb] we kind of all agreed that it was [D] unique, and that was fitting so well
[G] with that song, that we should [Bm] do something with it.
[Em] [Bm] It was really important to [Am] me that we captured all the projected animation [Bm] live in camera,
without [D] using any CG effects in post-production.
I was really adamant [Gm] that we had to do that, mainly because it's [Bb] a live show that we're
producing, and [C] I really wanted the audience to know that this [Cm] is something [Eb] that they can
see happen [Gm] live on stage in front of them, and not [F] just some Hollywood trickery.
When [Bb] they asked Andre, Leah and I [D] to direct a music video, we were [Gm] of course honoured,
humbled, and of course we really wanted to do it right by George, [E] his family, and Sir George [Eb] Martin.
[Gm] And at the age of 80 or [F] 79, how do we wrap up someone's life?
[Gm] To validate the fact that you're [F] still good at the age of 80 is [Gm] quite an achievement.
Even though he couldn't hear very [F] well, it was him going, wait a [Gm] second, this is how it's done.
[F] And it was beautiful.
[Gm]
Oh, I love it.
