What's up, welcome back to the channel, my name is Simon Servida.
So I teamed up with Cymatics and we just released [C] a Simon Servida Artist Pack on their website
and it's completely beated down.
Yeah, so let's take a look.
So what's in a Simon Servida Artist Pack?
Is it something trappy?
Is it R&B?
Is it jazzy?
The answer is, it's whatever I feel like.
Okay, so let's just take a look at it really quickly.
We have some drum loops.
We have, you know, one of these.
You know, it's like that.
But you know, we also got the
Like that, you know.
But you know, we also got the, you know, one of these.
Couple of hi-hat loops, some top loops.
Let's take a look at some of the drum shots.
We have these 808s, some claps, [N] hi-hat cymbals, some kicks, percussion, some snares, and I
also [C] put in some instrument tones in case you don't want to use the melodies.
For the melodies I gave you, they're kind of all over the place, just so you have a
couple different ideas.
So we have, you know, something a bit more vibey like this.
[Am] Then we have this, just more like trappy.
[Dbm] This one is a lot smoother.
[Dm] Some little jazz stuff.
[Fm] [C] [Fm]
[A] Little singing here.
[Em]
Yeah, so I just want to make a quick beat for you guys just so I can show you, you know,
what's up.
I'm not going to use any of my melodies because I want you guys to play around with them,
so I'm going to get something from the [Cm] tones.
Probably that one.
Not [B] really in the mood for something hard today.
[F]
[C]
[Am] Yeah, something really laid back.
[G]
[C] Quick quantize.
I'm going to use the strum tool to kind of give it a roll.
[Am] Yeah.
Then obligatory, bring it up an octave for later.
Just putting some half-time on it to fill out the bottom end.
[F] [C]
[Am] [F] [C]
Yeah, I just want to do something simple, so let's just get to the drums now.
[C] [Am]
[G] [F]
[Am] [G]
[C] [Ab] Yeah, this one's pretty chill.
Yeah, kind of just repeat [F] it.
[C] [Am]
[G]
[Eb]
Like this.
[D]
[C]
Like [F] that.
[C]
[Am] [G]
[C]
[Am] Yeah, I think the drums are good enough, [G] but I think melodically it's a bit empty, so let's
I'm thinking maybe a pad.
You don't have a pad in the pack, but you can probably take something from this tone
[Fm] and kind of just slice it up.
Yeah, I want a nice warm tone.
[B] So we'll go here, then we just go here.
Zoom nice and in.
[Dm] Set the loop, and that's it.
Yeah, so we just got to mix it a bit.
[C] So if I [F] take out the high end, we should get something pretty mellow.
Yeah.
Okay, let's put that in.
[Gb] Okay, so we have the [G] F [B] major 7.
Then [N] we get C major, so we can extend that like [Em] this.
[B] And then we have A minor, [Ab] so that can stay.
We'll [Am] move that up.
And [Ab] then
[B] [Ab] the [Am] 4.
[G]
[F] Yeah, that's it.
[F]
[C] [Am]
[G] [F]
[C] [Am]
[G] [F]
[C] This [Am] is pretty soothing.
[G] Now I'm [F] thinking we need a counter melody for this part,
because over here we have something for the high frequency,
and then also for the low frequency.
[C] So now for this part, we have the low frequency,
so we need something for the high register.
[Am]
[G] Ba-ba.
[F]
[C] [Am] Ba-ba.
[G] I think I got it.
Once again, something really simple.
[Eb]
[D]
[N] I'm thinking we have some kind of harmony to this.
Uh
[Dbm] Um
Bum, bum, [Ab] bum, bum.
Same thing at the beginning.
[E]
I think that's the same.
[D] [F]
[C] That's very pretty.
It might be a little bland, [Gb] so let's export it and see if we can modify it a bit.
Let's try [Cm] reversing it.
Like all of these.
[G] All of these except the last one.
[F]
[C] [Am] That's kind of nice.
It's just like a little ambience.
[G] I think [C] I'm done.
I just wanted to do something really quick for you guys.
So yeah, let's arrange.
[C] [Am]

I'm [C] going to leave a Google document in the description
that's [Bb] going to give you very specific [C] instructions.
Things like what's the deadline, where do I send it, what kind of file it is,
