Hey, how are you?
Jason? Right, yeah.
[Eb] Nat!
[Bb] Thank you for being here.
Thank you.
Okay, so you were with [N] Third Day, you were known as Christian.
What is it like to go out solo for you now?
Well, it's not a lot different.
You know, with Third Day, we're a band that's been together for 20 years.
Right.
So the difference is in playing with a group of guys for 20 years and knowing all those,
you know, little things that you deal with, good and bad.
And then now, going on the road with a bunch of different guys that I've never played,
you know, live with before, singing songs I've never sang live a million times before,
like I have the Third Day songs.
So it's different, but there's still this passion in my heart for this music, and so
I'm so excited to be able to do it.
Isn't that great?
Have you found any kind of hedging or whatever?
You know when you sing a certain style of music and then you go into another style.
Have you been accepted?
Do you feel like people are accepting you?
Yeah, absolutely.
The overwhelming majority of people, of my fans and people who've heard the music who
haven't heard my music before, are very positive about it.
You know, you're always going to have the fans that just don't like change, don't like
anything different, but for them, there's a new Third Day record coming soon, and I've
got this for this time.
Well, it's good to branch out and do things.
Like I did solo things, Donnie did solo things, we did things together.
So you've been co-writing with people like Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney.
I haven't necessarily [C] co-written with them yet.
I've written with guys who've written songs for them.
Oh, I see.
So the big songwriter guys that write their hits.
Well then why are we talking about this?
I don't know.
I don't know.
But if you've got any connections or numbers, [Bb] I'll
I have a few.
[Gb] You know what?
I saw him earlier.
He reminds me of Dan Seals, doesn't he?
