Hello everybody, today I will show you how to play This [Gm] Old Dog by Mank De Marco.
I will play the song at first along with the chord diagrams, [E] so you can see what the chords are and you can figure them out how to play them.
You can see, look at my hand and [G] the song repeats itself quite a lot, so you can just keep the video going and try to play along.
Also a handy tip is to play [Gm]
the tutorial, [G] this video at.5x speed or something like that, so you can have more time to adjust your chords and to change the chords [A] of course. What's important [E] to know is that it's just [F] standard tuning, but you [G] have to put a capo on the third fret, as I've done. Now I will play the chords, there is some sort of picking pattern to it, but I will teach you that after I've shown you the chords, because it's more important that you can play the chords and [Gm] change them quickly at first. I will play the song [C] now and I hope everything is [E] correct, if there's something wrong, please [G] say it in the comments, [Gm] so you can help others and me. I hope you like it and it's clear for you how to play it. [Ab]

[Ab] So that's why I play the F major with my thumb, so it's [Cm] easier to change from the F major to the [F] F major 7 with a C in the bass. The picking pattern, you can either decide if you want to play the bass note only or the full chord and [Eb] then the other notes, that's really up to you. But you can either decide if you play the full chord or not, but the [Ab] F major 7 with C in the bass, you play it like this. So basically first the full chord, then the 3rd string, then the 4th string and then the 6th string. Then [G] when you play the G13, with the G13 you play the 1st string, the [Bb] 3rd string, the 4th string and the 5th string like this. [Ab] [D] [Bb] [D]
Then [Bb] with the G6 it's the same. [F] And then the F major is again the same as the F major 7. You can either play the full chord or just the bass [Ab] note. That's really up to you, but that's the same. It's full chord, full chord, 3rd [F] string, 4th string and 6th string. [Gm] Then when you play the D9, I [F] think it's called the chorus of the song. The D9, you can also play the full chord or just the D as a bass, that's [Eb] also alright. [A] But first you play the full chord. Then the 3rd string, the 4th string and the 5th string. [F] [A]
You can either decide if you want to play the full chord [Gm] or just the bass note. Then the G6 is the same [Bb] again, like before. [Gm] Then the C9 is the same as the D9, the [G] picking pattern. So full chord, 3rd string, [Gm] 4th string, 5th string. And then the [Ab] F major is the same as before. It's [F] the full chord, then the 3rd string, 4th string and 6th string. Or the bass F, or the 1st string, the 3rd string, the 4th string and the [Ab] 6th string. That's really [Gm] all to it. I [N] hope everything was clear. If there's something incorrect, please say it to me so you can help the others and me as well. Also if you want to learn another song in this way, please say it in the comments. I will very likely make a video about it. Subscribe, I will make more videos like this from songs you might really like. Give it a like if you liked the [D] video, otherwise [F] don't. [N] Then I wish you a nice day and thank you so much for [Bb] watching. [N]
