[N]
Okay, this is a [C] tutorial on Love You More Than I Can Say.
[N]
[Fm] I'm going to play the right hand part just using my thumb, so you don't have to worry too [G] much about what's happening there.
[E] Just [C] concentrate on the left hand.
[N] I'll [G] play it really slowly [Bb] to give you a chance to see what's happening.
And I'll just comment [Ab] on [G] any particularly difficult [N] points.
[Em]
[C]
[Bm]
[Em]
[G]
[Bb]
So altogether, that [D] sounds like
[Em]
[G]
[Bm] Then you repeat [C] that part again.
[G]
[Em]
[C] [E]
[G] [E]
Then it [G] changes slightly here.
[A] [E]
And that's the new line of chord.
[A]
[Em]
[E]
[D]
D chord.
[Bm] [A]
[G]
G chord.
[Db] So it [Bb]
sounds like [D] this.
[Em]
[G]
[Em]
[G]
[D]
[G]
[C]
[G]
Sorry if that's slightly different.
I seem to play [C] it differently every time I play it.
But that's just the way [N] it is.
Okay, second [C] part of the [G] tune.
[Em] [G]
[C] That's a C with an added G on the first string.
[G]
Add a G.
[Em]
[D]
[A]
A7.
[G] Add a D on the second string.
[A]
[D] D with a descending bass line.
[C] [Bm]
[G]
And we're back into the first part of the tune again.
[N]
[D] [N]
[G] Just a few [Bb] comments on the way that I actually play [Eb] it.
I tend [C] to play a couple of strings at a time to add [A] to the effect [E] of the single melody line.
[C] So when I use the [G] slide to get that opening line, [C] I actually play [E] two [Bb] strings together.
So I'm playing the open
[C] third string along with the actual melody [G] line that I play.
[C]
And it gives me that drone [Bb] effect behind [G] it.
[C]
[D] [G]
[C] So I'm just using the first and second fingers of my right hand.
And I'm getting a nice effect at the same time as playing the melody line.
[G] [C]
And then I add the bass notes in, so it sounds like this.
[G]
So with the G [Bb] on the [G] sixth string coming in, it gives it a fuller sound.
[Em]
Then I add the hammer-ons as well.
That gives it an extra effect.
[G]
[D]
[Em]
And I use quite a lot of sliding in it as well.
[C] So a lot of these notes [Em]
sliding up and then back down again.
Just gives it an extra finish.
[C]
[Em]
So, have fun.
Good luck.
