[Abm] We're having a good time.
[G] [N] We're having a good time as well.
You know, I talk about the Grand Ole Opry a lot because country music was the first love of my life
and the most consistent love of my life.
And, you know, it has provided me [Abm] a wonderful living to do something [A] I absolutely love to do, and that's make [E] music.
And when I was a little girl, I would go to the Opry with my father, George Morgan,
who was a member of the Grand Ole Opry for about 28 [Em] years, until he passed away in [Fm]
[N] 1975.
But as a little girl, I would stand on the stage, the wings of the stage, every Friday and Saturday night,
and I would watch all the great ladies walk out to center stage in their long beaded gowns and their matching shoes.
And I always thought they looked just so perfect.
And I would think and dream as a little girl that one day I was going to be out there on that stage singing my song.
My dream came true in 1984.
They made me a full-fledged member of the Grand Ole Opry.
And to this day, it's truly the greatest highlight of my career.
And many, many times I would sit and listen to those ladies sing and just picture myself out there on the stage of the Opry.
And I'll never forget hearing this song being sung on the Grand Ole Opry.
And very fortunately, [Abm] a couple years ago, I [Ebm] had the opportunity to record it [E] on one of my albums [N] called A Moment in Time,
which we have available tonight on flash drive.
So we want you all to come visit us at the table.
We've got a lot of songs, a lot of music that you haven't heard yet.
But this is going to take you back quite a bit in time.
[Db] And [Dm] for some of you younger [B] folks who maybe haven't heard this song,
maybe tonight it will become [A] one of your favorite country standards.
[Abm] We certainly hope it will.
[B] [F] [E] [Ab] [A]
[Abm] [Gbm]
[B] [E] Do you think I'll [Eb] leave it [A] on your mind?
Tell me now, [Abm] get it over.
Hurt me now, [Gbm]
get it over.
[B] Do you think I'll leave it [E] on your mind?
If there's a new love [A] in your heart?
Tell me now, [Abm]
get it over.
Hurt me now, [Gbm] get it over.
[B] If there's a new love [E] in your [A]
heart?
[E] [Bm] I'll [E] [A] stay here in the woods,
[Abm] Tell the dreams that you make of me.
[A] Hurt me now, get it over.
[Gb] I may love to love [B] again.
[E] [B] [Abm] If there's a new [A] love inside,
Tell me now, [Abm] get it over.
Hurt me now, [Gbm] get it over.

I'm [E] going to be a hungry monarch.
