Hi guys, this is a this is gonna be a tutorial for Linus and Lucy or the peanuts theme from Charlie Brown
I'll start with the left hand
You're gonna start on a G flat here
And you're just going D sharp and G sharp up here or uh yeah G sharp A flat whatever just like that
[A] Then you're going
[Gb] Instead [G] of the G sharp here you're hitting [Ab] the F
[F]
[Ab]
[F] [G] So as you notice the timing is a little bit funky you stay you stay on the low G sharp down here longer than you
Do the [Ab] other two notes
[F]
So I just practice that's a little jazzy
[Ab] After you go through that once
[F]
The [C] right hand starts.
I'll go ahead teach you the notes and then I'll try and help you fit them together Anyway
[Ab] C and G sharp here and
and if you can reach you can do this and
That's C and G [Eb] sharp D sharp and a sharp
[Ab]
The tune of this all goes
With the left hand you're gonna be starting at the same time
But you have to basically practice this for a [D] long time
You can keep the beat while you're doing the right hand because otherwise it's it's impossible
You you have to practice left hand for quite a while
So once you have the little jazzy rhythm down with the left hand you can start trying to play it together
And it took me a while to get it right, but but you should be able to do it if you keep practicing
[Ab]
[B] Now that part [G] you're going [Abm] B and G sharp up here and your left [B] hand moves up to B
sharp B and
that's
your left hand assuming
[Ab]
So it's moving the B down to a [B] G sharp the second time
[Ab] [A]
[Abm] B [Eb] and G sharp and then D sharp and a sharp and then
[Abm] [B]
[Ab]
[B]
[Ab] And then you're just doing C sharp and G sharp and then D sharp and A sharp
And and that's the the first piece
all right, so after you've practiced the left hand right hand rhythm getting the
[B]
[Ab]
[F] Getting that rhythm down after that [C] you start with the
That part all right, so that's gonna start [Db] with
Right here you have
C sharp octaves left hand and
On a C sharp inversion which is F, G sharp and C sharp
[Eb] So you're just moving everything up
[Db] whole step here
[Eb]
Everything goes through big big and then in the right hand it's G, A sharp and D sharp and D sharp to the [Db] left hand
[Eb]
[Dm] All right, so then after you're doing that at the end of the thing in the first piece it'll sound something [Ab] like this
[B] [Ab]
[Db]
[Eb] [Db] Just like that
Then after that your left hand is going to do a slide with a grace note here D sharp and [D] F
To G sharp
[Eb]
[G] Sorry, it's it's it's [C] D sharp to F and then G sharp so it's kind of like
You can add your own style to this.
It's not a specific
Alright, [A] so after you've done that then you're gonna hit [Ab] a G sharp down here
[Db]
[Eb]
[Db] [Eb]
[C]
and go back to the beginning
And you're gonna hit that three times
[Dm]
[Eb]
[Db] [Eb] [Bb]
[Db] [F]
[Eb] [Bb]
[Db] [Eb]
There and go [Ab] back to or [F] [Db]
let's see here
[Eb]
[C]
[Db] [Eb] [Ab]
[F]
If you're ending on [Ab] a C up here you can always go back [G] to the beginning
But if you're doing [Eb] [Bb]
[Db]
[Eb] [Ab] C up here and on a C you can go back to the beginning
[F] [Ab] [N]
And then you can just end on a A sharp chord there
That's about it.
It's a pretty simple song.
I hope this tutorial helped you learn it.
If there's anything that you need me to go back over because I kind of sped through it,
I'll go ahead and play the song like that just so you can see how many times we played the same and things like [Ab] that.
