Hey, what's up you guys Marty Schwartz here guitarjams.com
Happy to bring you a classic kind of rockabilly surf rock tune
It's great for a blues guitar player someone that likes the classic rock plus this tune was in you know Pulp Fiction
So that's kind of fun
It's got a great little riff that is just really just going down the pentatonic scale
So it's really good for that as well.
I'm gonna zoom in show you how to play it
Like I said, it's it's definitely fun
Also, I have some free blues licks that you can check out
I'm gonna leave a link in that that blue link right there.
You can click it check it out some
Famous inspired [F] by blues licks for you, and it's totally free anyway.
Thanks for hanging out
Let's zoom in and I'm gonna break this down for you [N] here.
We go all right.
This one's just super fun one trick
You know turning your reverb [F] up on your [F#] amp using your
Bridge [E] pickup your back pickup just gives you that brighter
Kind of 50s early 60s kind [N] of kind of vibe to it
But you know if that's not just that's just for fun.
So we're gonna go like this [F#] D D E
[D] D [E]
[D] [E] D E
[Bm] So basically it's [F#] like a blues in the key of E
But each [B] chord of the blues has a lead-in from a D chord.
So you've got like D [E] D E
then
[D] D [A] D a
[D] Then D [E] D E
Then finally [D] D [B] D B
So [G]
[E] [D] [E]
[D] [E]
[N] after the B chord it goes back and does the D D E
D D E it does that twice then D D a
then D D E and [F#] then D D [Em] B7
[F] Rest [F#] rest lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick a D [E] D E
Now D D E
Then the [D#m] D D [E] a
D D E D [Am] D B7
[E] Lick again, so [F] over and over and over
[G] So check it out.
[D] [E]
There we go D [D] D a
[A]
Then D D [D] E
now [E] D D [D] B7 and [B] so [E] that B7 is
[F#] That's a good one to know.
It's the second fret of the a
first fret [B] of the D
second fret of the G and
[A] Then [B] pinky over onto the second fret of the high E and when you play that
You [C] like kind of just [B] rake your pick
[E] Instead of strumming straight [B] down like you can go and that's good to practice
[E] So [D]
[B] [G]
[E] and [Em] then that lick is just a straight E minor pentatonic starting with [G] the ring finger
Or I'm using the ring finger.
You can use [F] your middle finger or your ring finger on the third fret [Em] of the high E
so 3 o on that string and the same thing on the B string [Bm] and
[B] It's good to start practicing your alternate picking you know down up down up down up [F#] down up down up you could do all [Em] down
[Bm] [G] [E] But it is good to start practicing your [Em] alternate picking so you've got 3 [Bm] o 3 o
[A] 2 [G] [E] o [D] 2 o [B] [Am] 2 [G] o
And you hold that third fret of the low E and give it a little bend down [E] into that E [G] chord
[E]
so watch from the [D] B [B]
[G]
[E] [D] [E]
[D] [E]
now [D] a
[A]
and back to [D] E
[E] Now we're gonna do [D] B
[B] Then the [G] lick so [E] [D]
[E] forth and so on let's do that lick really slow now
[Em]
[Bm] [A] [G] [E]
[D] [B] [A] [G]
[E] [D] [B]
[Em]
[Bm] [A] [G] [E] [D] [B] [G]
[E] [D] [E]
[D] [A]
[D] [E]
[D] [B]
All [Em] [Bm]
[G] [E] [D] [E]
right, I hope you enjoyed the [Fm] lesson remember
I've got extra blues licks for you that could even work right over this progression that link right down there
Thanks for hanging out with me, [C] and hopefully we'll see you in [D#m] another video [G] lesson very [Bm] soon alright.

This one's just super fun one trick
You know turning your reverb [F] up on your [F#] amp using your

Kind of 50s early 60s kind [N] of kind of vibe to it

But each [B] chord of the blues has a lead-in from a D chord.
So you've got like D [E] D E
then _
_ [D] D [A] D a _ _

So _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
[E] _ _ [D] _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ _ _ [D] _ _ _ [E] _
[N] after the B chord it goes back and does the D D E
D D E it does that twice then D D a
then D D E and [F#] then D D [Em] B7
_ [F] Rest [F#] rest lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick lick a D [E] D E

_ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ [D] _ _ [E] _ _ _
