Life J Dilla.
I'm just going to play it through first of all
[Fm] [Db]
[Cm] [E]
[Fm]
[Bbm]
Okay, now I'll break it down a little bit first chord
that's a B flat minor 9 [Fm] the left hand is [Bb] playing a B flat and an [Ab] A flat and
Optionally [Bbm] a D flat as well [Fm] the right hand is playing F a flat
C [Db]
D flat F
[Bbm]
okay, and
[Fm]
The left hand is about to play
[Db] those two notes again, so it's
[Bbm]
Right hands going to play D flat or you could just play two notes in the left to start with if it's hard [Fm] to stretch
[Db] And then play those two [Bbm]
and then we got this chord
[Cm] So [C]
the [Ab] right hand has three black [Bb] notes B [Eb] flat E flat [Ab] a [Eb] flat
[Ab]
Left [C] hand has C and [E] E
[Cm]
[C] That's a C7 [E] sharp 9
[C] [Cm]
[E] flat 13
So far we've got
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb] and then we play the [E] E in the [C] left hand again, and [Ab] [Cm] [E]
then we go down to [C] this chord
[Fm]
so it's
left hand F [F] C F and
then in the [G] right
[Ab] G [Fm] and A flat
And then we're going to play the G again in the [G] right
Actually, [Fm] we'll play it.
Sorry.
We'll play it with the left [Cm] like [Fm] that [Cm] and then the [Fm] right is going to play an F
by the way, that's an
F minor 9 or something like F minor
Yeah, call it an F minor 9 and then we've got [Bbm]
that's a B flat minor 9
[Bb] left hand [Ab] B flat A flat right hand [Bbm] D flat [Db] F
C [Bbm] and then we just hold that on and we go
[Bb] B flat F in the right it feels like you should play something in the [Bbm] meantime like maybe
Maybe the D flat
Very gently or B flat in the left hand or something
But I listen to the song and you can hardly hear anything so it's you can just leave it
[Ab] It's just you playing the piano without any beats so it sounds like you need to add something, but you don't have to
[Fm] So we've got so [Bbm]
[Eb] that D flat comes straight [Fm] after the left hand
And [Db] we've got [Eb] this chord
repeat the [E] E
[Fm] G in the [G] left [Fm] F in the right
[Bbm]
Play it to a bit faster
But [Cm] [E]
[Fm] [Bbm]
sometimes my D flat doesn't play
It's stuck [Cm]
[E] [Fm]
[Bbm]
and then it's kind of [B] all about how loudly you play the chords in the notes so the first chord pretty [Fm] loud
[Bbm] the repeated bit softer
The D flat fairly loud
[Eb]
That chord not too [C] loud
[E] E gentle in the [Fm] left
fairly gentle
[Cm] [Fm] Sort [Cm] [Fm]
of [Bb] medium
Keep [Bbm]
[Cm]
[C] [Fm]
[Bbm]
[Ebm] wanting to play over and over again.
It's a really nice chord sequence, so I hope that was useful
