Hello everyone this is a tutorial for let's spend the night together by the Rolling Stones
I've been very busy lately so I haven't been able to put any videos up on this channel in many months
But I'm back and I'm gonna be putting some theory videos [A] some covers tutorials
Whatever you guys asked for and I saw this video had over 2,000 views on it
And my videos never get over a hundred views so I was surprised so I said all right
I might as well make a tutorial.
I've played this song in a while, but I pretty much still remember
So it's let's spend the night together by the Rolling Stones
[D] Are you gonna start with D in the bass notes and then on the top you're gonna play like the [Ab] main riff I call [Bm] it
It's D F sharp and a in the top you're switching to a [D] d6
Because it's one two three four five [Gb] six the sixth note so D
D six and then D seven so the riff goes you keep the D and F sharp and you just switch [B] the top [Bb] top notes go
[D] so
[Bm]
[D] Well on the bottom hand you just have your [Bm] D's as the bass all right so after you do that so you'll have
[D]
[Bm] [D] the drums coming
And you switch to a G major
[G]
You're gonna play it
second inversion
So you'll play it here G major
Which notes are G B and D so and then you [Bm] go to B minor which the notes are B
D and F sharp
So you go
[G] G
[Bm] B minor and then
[E] Then you um then the verse comes in and it [Bm] starts like this [D] [Ab]
and then it goes to the G chord again
[G] [Bm]
[D] [Bb] Starts on the G again
[G] [Bm] B minor and then back to the riff
The [Bb] next part goes to a C major
[C] C E and G so and all these on the [C] bass you're just doubling up to
To [Bm] like when you're playing the [D] drift you're doing the D's
When you're playing the [G] G major you go to the G to G's we [B] play the B minor you do two B's
Simple as [C] that so now we're C major so C in the bass and you have C E G
So you're going
[G] and then G major
[D] And you switch to D D F sharp A so the [C] next part is C
[G] G
[D] D
[C]
C and [Bm] B minor
[D] Goes back to the riff
[Ab] Then next part it goes into like this the drums drop out and there's like this little organ thing
So I'll switch to organ and the [C] chords are C
[G] and then G and
Then C [C] again, and then G [G] again
G the drum come back in
[C] C
[G]
G and then back to the riff so the [D] piano again
[G] [Bm]
And that's pretty much it it goes back [Ab] to the verse and
it ends
With it it fades out.
I don't believe the phase that it actually goes [D] on
[Bm]
[G] And I'm a G major just like that G B D and then G at the top
So [D] the ending again is that riff ending on the G so you play the riff three times and end on the G chord
Just like this
[Bb]
[Bm] [G]
[Gm] All right,
I've been very busy lately so I haven't been able to put any videos up on this channel in many months
