_ _ [G#m] _ _ OK, a very familiar tune, it's taken from the 89 album Avalon Sunset.
It's pretty relaxed.
There's a lot of sections that repeat, which is good news for learning.
_ So let's start
with the tune.
It goes like this [D] in the right hand.
_ [A] _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ OK, [A] so it starts on a D.
_ _ [F#] _ You've got F sharps here and C sharps. _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ So that's the [A] first phrase, then it moves on and _ repeats exactly the same.
_ [F#m] _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ OK, then the next bit of the tune. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [F#m] _ _
_ [F#] _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
OK, those two [E] phrases again.
So it's up to the B there.
[A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[G#] _ _ [F#] _ _ _ And _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ _
[C] then the final [A] phrase.
_ _ _ [F#] _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ So there's a couple of just _
[A] a little bit quicker notes there. _ _ _
[F#] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ OK, so [G#] the second half [A] again. _
_ _ _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ _
[F#] _ _ [D] _ _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ [F#] _ _ _ [D] _ _ _ _
_ _ And that's the right hand with the tune. _
OK, the left hand.
It's got the _ rhythm, _ _ which is _ _ a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ slightly dotted rhythm.
So it starts on the D, _ _ _ _ [F#] repeats, then up to an F sharp, _ _ [G] then to a G,
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _
to the A, and [D] then the same again. _ _
_ _ [F#] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] And then it goes to a G, _ _ _ _ _ _ which repeats twice, then down to an F sharp, _ which does the same, _ _ _
_ [E] then to an E, _ _ _
[A] _ up to an A, and then [D] back to the D. _
_ _ _ _ So let's run through that again. _
_ _ _ [F#] _ _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ [D] _
Repeat.
[F#] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ [G] To the G.
_ _ _ _ Then the F [F#] sharp.
_ _ _ _ Then [E] the E, up to the A, and down to the D.
