The next thing we're going to do is we're going to take the basic box and we're going
to turn it into waltz.
The way that we do that is by [F#] adding the rhythm, one, two, three, one, [C] two, three.
All the steps are going to be even.
We want to make sure that [D#] we step forward with the heel.
[C] We want to make sure that we [A] step backward with the toe and the [C] foot.
It's going to look a little something like [F#] this.
The same thing that we used for the fox trot.
Man's hand on the shoulder, lady's hand on the shoulder, a little bit [F] offset.
We're going to start out men with your left foot, ladies with your right foot, and we're
going to step one, [A#] two, three, [D#] one, [B] two, three, one, [A#] two, three.
Now of course you're going to pick music that fits too, so the music has to be written in
three-four timing.
Those of you who understand that, good luck.
Those of you who don't, one, [C#] two, three, one, two, three.
Now we're going to go ahead and do the man's [Am] perspective and followed out by the lady's [G#] perspective.
So gentlemen, you're going to take the same frame that we did in the fox trot.
Make sure your lady's offset so that you don't step on her right away.
And we've got one, two, [F#] three, one, three, one, two, three, one, two, three.
[N] Take your time.
Practice this over and over, and on one of the future videos we'll show you how to turn
this box and get all kinds of fancy.
All right?
Now we'll go ahead and do the lady's perspective.
Again, same position.
Make sure ladies that you're offset to the right.
If you have your imaginary partner, do the same thing.
Ladies, you're going to start with your right foot.
You're going to step backwards.
Back, side, together, forward, side, together.
Back, side, together, forward, side, together.
