Lead Guitar Lesson Tutorial // Cornerstone // Hillsong Worship chords
Start Jamming...
The song Cornerstone, the title track from the new Hillsong Live album, is actually a
remake of the old hymn on Christ the Solid Rock, right?
And then it adds this, like, does what Hillsong does best, it adds just this big epic chorus,
really singable, just a great tune.
And they've done some nice things with the melody on the verse as well.
The acoustic guitar is pretty straightforward, we've got a little bit of fingerpicking, we're
doing some strumming, so it keeps it interesting for us.
And then for the electric guitarists, we've actually taken the number of electric guitar
parts and kind of distilled them into one guitar part, so that even if you're the only
electric guitar player, you can handle the song on your own.
At the same time, we do still give you notes and do some different things just to kind
of help you, you know, if there are two guitar players, you can kind of play off each other
and pick out the different parts, we talk through that as well.
So go ahead and tune up, watch the music video, and let's get started.
Now as I always mention in these YouTube videos, we can't do on YouTube what we can do at worshipartistry.com.
We have a custom lesson environment there, it's much more robust, you can see the chord
charts, the tabs, you can do practice loops to practice along with each individual part.
I also teach through every section, and you can jump around so you can just pay attention
to what you really care about.
And right now, you can go and register for free with this coupon code, it'll give you
a free 30 day trial, you can try out a ton of lessons, you can try out all the guitar
lessons, and have access to the entire site.
So I highly suggest going there.
But if you really just want to take a lesson on YouTube, you can do it here.
I'm going to just do a close up view of the electric guitar, a play through, and you can
kind of see all those different parts.
Alright, let's give it a try.
