So we are in the studio.
We are here in Nashville, Tennessee.

We were touring so much in 2018 and 2019.
We toured [D#] straight for, [F#] what, like a year and a half.
So it was really nice to be able to kind of come off the road
with [B] all of those [F#] experiences piled up.
I [G#] do think touring so much has really shaped the songwriting
in that we're more aware [F#] of the joy that we get
whenever [F#m] we sing songs collectively [F#] in a room.
Like when you are on stage
[A#] and you can really [F#] connect with people in a crowd
and the soul is intertwined for a minute
and everyone's singing the same words.
It's sort of like [B] a weird form of [N] prayer.
Like it's like a rock and roll prayer, you know?
But I do think that's what we seek out.
And so trying to let that inform some of our feelings
on the writing process for Self-Made Man.
