I just received this message from a friend about a video, a Young Guitar video.
Young Guitar is a Japanese magazine.
I think it was 2001, they decided to do some DVDs and they were coming inside the magazine.
And then I did some videos there.
I think it's the first one I did for them.
So I received this video and for me it's horrible.
And I decided to do this react.
I see a lot of people reacting to things on YouTube so I decided to react as well.
I will react to myself.
I think it's easier and it's funnier and it's good for me anyway.
So [D] let's see.
[C] So it's here.
[A] Oh yeah.
[D]
[B] That's a funny, it's a funny [Am] situation.
It's like, it's a [F#] horrible situation because I remember that they, [C] the Japanese they [Am] said
Oh it's a [F#] photo session and an interview and I was [C] there with the guitar of course for
the [Am] photo session but it didn't have any cable, anything, [C] nothing.
I was not prepared to play.
And then suddenly they said no, [G] we're gonna do videos [C] for the magazine as well.
And there was like [F#] three cameras and [A] computers and all [E] that, all those Japanese, a lot of
[C] Japanese there around me.
[E] Okay, so play something [F#] amazing for us.
So look, I have [C] just a guitar, I don't have any pedals, I don't have an amp.
So they brought a vintage amp I remember and with no distortion.
I said like, you call me a guitar hero but I don't know how to play, you know, in a clean amp.
So they brought these marshals here, you can see like the 900 with another cabinet.
[C] You can hear there was no effects as well.
[F#] So I was not prepared and I remember I had to ask Edu, Edu is a singer, [C#] was a singer
from Angra back in [C#m] 2001.
So he went to the hotel, he [F#m] did this favor to me, went to the hotel and I remember I
had a CD with some backing tracks.
[G#] So he brought the CD back to this, you know, this was [D#m] at MI in [F#] Tokyo, [G#] Musicians Institute in Tokyo.
And then [F#] he, well, had the CD [A] and I had like a, maybe like an [Am] overdrive or a tube screamer or something.
So [A] there's a tube screamer [B] straight to the marshal and then I had some backing track
for, [C] you know, just for me to practice and [Em] then I decided to play those songs.
[C] Dream Circle, which is whatever name, it was that [Em] song that I did in a [C] lesson, you know,
[A] in the [D] 90s and stuff like that.
So I decided to play.
It [B] was horrible, [C] it was very difficult, you [A] know, with all those cameras and those Japanese,
you know, around [E] and asking me to play something amazing.
[A] You know, something, just play something mind [E]-blowing.
So I [C] wrote a note right [F#] there.
Yeah.
Cool.
You know what?
I used to [D] have a pink guitar and that's the pink guitar.
And [Fm] I changed it.
Oh yeah, G [G#] sharp.
Come on Kiko, I just did [G] the same phrase, I just, [E] eight points now.
Point number eight, for sure it was one take.
Although it's a good energy, I think I've started doing this more often because I think
it's kind of cool to watch Kiko 17 years ago or something like that.
Yeah, that's cool. [C] [A] Yeah.
