If you don't mind, I'd like to feature them.
Is that okay?
[G]
What do you think?
Do you think you want us to sing?
[B] I heard the bird Bird's up.
[A] We have a release in a few CDs soon.
[C] So
[G]
You heard from us there.
[Em]
We are the birds that you [G] see.
[Em] I'm really excited for their new project coming [G#] out.
[Bm] Can you guys grab something from the [C] door?
We can.
We [B] actually have a sequel coming out [N] tomorrow.
What?
Yeah.
We're really [A] excited about that.
We found this called Take Aloha With [G] You.
And it's composed by [A]
our friend Amy.
She lives in San Jose, California.
She's actually a kumukula there.
She's the daughter of Halauna Waiola.
She [Bm] was telling me she's a [E] very dear friend of ours.
And she sent this whole song.
[C#m] All the words, the melody, everything.
It came to her one day in a dream.
[C] And as soon as she woke up, she wrote it all down.
And [F] she's not really a musician.
She [D#m] has a beautiful [C#] voice, but she doesn't really play [F#] any instruments.
So she [C] went to some of her musician friends in San Jose.
And she goes, uncle, [F#]
I don't know how to play [D#] these chords.
But [F#] will you help me figure out this [Em] melody?
And so this is the song that came about.
And [E] we love [G] this song because, you know, at this point in our career,
we like to play music that has [C] a message.
And [G#] this song has a wonderful message.
[A] It's all in English mostly.
So you guys can get it.
[N] Don't worry.
But it's a great sentiment.
You know, a lot of times we think of aloha as a word that is
maybe sometimes overused or sometimes misused.
But the true sentiment, the essence of the word is important.
[G#] And it is something [A] that just infuses the culture here in Hawaii.
[G#] And as people who live here in Hawaii,
it's something [N] that we carry with us all the time.
So we hope you guys like this one.
Check it out tomorrow.
It comes out tomorrow.
So, [C] hey.
Just go and have a look.
[F] We have a music video for it too.
Coming out tomorrow.
We'll be releasing that tomorrow as well.
