Well, you may have noticed I play [E] a lot of guitars.
I [D] think I've already played 10 different ones.
Anyway, [Ab] people kid me about having a big guitar [N] collection, but you know, it pales in comparison to my wife's shoe collection.
[Eb] I mean, every husband can say this to every [D] wife, of course.
[E] But honey, I just need one [Eb] more guitar.
And she'll tell you, she probably needs another pair of [G] shoes.
[Ebm] Anyway, [Bm] I'm going to demonstrate [C] a couple of these guitars for you [Eb] so you hear why I go [B] out and get them.
They're all a little bit different.
[A]
[E] This here is a [A] Pentelicator.
[Dm]
[Am] [C]
[D] [Am] [Eb] [Cm]
[A] [Am] [Eb]
[C] [A] [G]
[C] [N]
That one's kind of sloppy, which you can pick in.
I'm sorry to [G] say.
[Bb] This [Eb] here is a Rickenbacker guitar.
Exactly like the one I start out with.
[E]
Makes a [Ebm] totally different sound.
It was the guitar I used on the [Eb] recording of Sissy Cute, this great lick invented by [Em] James Burton.
[Am]
[B] [Em] I can tell, [Ebm] if you take a notice, well you can see that there'll [E] be a test later, of course.
[N] Alright, give me some now.
Woo!
Well normally this is a black Les [Eb] Paul.
I've had one like that for years.
[Ab] But the other [B] night I was surprised by my beautiful wife right here on the stage, and she said [N] something like this.
John, excuse me John, are you talking about [Bbm] my shoes?
[Bb] That's nothing compared to your [Abm] guitar collection, as if you need yet [A] another guitar.
But [E] I think you're missing one guitar.
[N] A signature John [D] Fogerty guitar.
Look what I got [Eb] for you.
And you can [B] play this on the Canadian tour for [E] the first [Db] time.
Love you honey!
[N]
But anyway, the reason I like these guitars, they're normally black, [Db] but hey man, [Bb] clad is my thing.
[F] Ah, [N] I suppose they sound like [D] this.
No, I said they sound like this.
[Dm]
[Eb] [D]
[Ab]
[D]
Wake up in the [G] morning, hit it with a bell and [D]
they'll mount you to the [A] table.
They say the same [D] damn thing, put your foot up on the [G] table.
As you look up in the [D] pan, [G] but you better not complain, [Gb] [A] boy.
You're [D] getting trouble with the man.
Let [F] the midnight [G] laser shine a [D] light on me.
Let the midnight laser [A]
[D] shine a light on me.
Let the midnight [G] laser shine a light [D] on me.
Let the [B] midnight [A] laser shine a light on [D] me.
[C] Young [G] pumpkin's posing, hard to put her up [D] to nose.
Father went to [A] where that apple and the cloud [D] she bore.
On [G] her shoulder, please take my hand.
[D]
Well, if you want to see [A] me countin' up, you might not bring [D] her back.
Let the [G] midnight laser shine a light [D] on me.
Let the midnight [A] laser shine a light on [D] me.
Let the [G] midnight laser shine a light [D] on me.
Let the midnight [A] laser shine a light [D] on me.
When you [G] have a reason to, how you gonna [Dm] do it right?
[D] Well, [B] you're getting out of jail, [Eb] [Em] and [A] you're [D] riding my bike.
[Gm] Boy, it's heavy, heavy, heavy, heavy, heavy, heavy.
And I'm falling [D] to the ground.
Well, there next ain't [A]
no more.
Let the [D] prison bar, let the [G] midnight laser shine a [D] light on me.
Let the [A] midnight laser shine a light [D] on me.
Let [G] the midnight laser shine a light [D] on me.
Let the midnight [A]
laser shine a light [Fm] [C] on [G] me.
[D]
I'm
[N]
not asking you to sing it, you're not!
Thank me!
