We were on Atlantic Records.
I was the lead singer and songwriter for the group.
To date, Some Kind of Wonderful has been recorded
by 65 artists.
It's the most recorded song in music history.

And I remember writing that song.
A lot of people ask me, how did I write that song?
And why did I write it?
Some ask me if I wrote it about my wife.
No, I did not.
I was not married at the time.
Took me about 20 minutes to write the song.
I was in a [Bb] car driving from Rochester, New York
to Philadelphia, and I had just left this woman
that I'd spent the night with,
and I told her she was Some Kind of Wonderful.

So that's how the song came about.
