Happiness is a battle, happiness is pain, happiness is knowing you're not the cause
of all change.
Happiness is a value, happiness is a bond, happiness is knowing you're not the cause
of all my sorrow.
Ain't nobody love you better, ain't nobody but me.
[Bbm] Oh, I'm a man of my word, I'm a man of my word.
All I want is a fair shake of luck, a few little something for a meal.
[Gb]
[Ab] [Eb] [N]
Thank you very much, good evening New York City, Radio City Music Club.
For the dream come true, it is to play here.
Thank you very much for coming out here on this lovely night.
Give these little to us.
[B] Parents are here, my family's here, everybody's here, so thank you very much [E]
for
Born [Bm] in Utica, New York, this is a real special moment.
Thank you guys.
[B] [Bm]
[B] [Bm]
I've been gone a long time, lost in [Bm] the seven [B] seas.
[Bm] Say long, don't [A] you come back until you learn the birds and the bees.
Who will you find, [Bm] who's blood in the wine?
Let's call my preacher and my very lovely wife.
I said, head down, roll me like a hurricane.
All is lost and numb, numb like an overcame.
[A] [Bm] Who done it, what of you said?
Tell me all, why don't you bore?
I'm alone, spitted, [B] broken, I'm a dislocated bone.
Well, Radio City Music Hall, for a born New Yorker.
Now, to others, they just know Radio City Music Hall is where the Rockettes do their Christmas show.
But to drive down 6th Avenue as a kid, my first trip to New York City,
to see that iconic sign that says Radio City, it just screams New York.
It's almost like the Empire State Building.
[B] You see the Empire State Building.
It's synonymous with the city.
[Bm] And I'd only been in the building one time before to see a very non-blues concert.
The most un-blues you can get was actually Liza Minnelli.
Because my manager's father was managing Liza Minnelli at the time.
And [Db] I was just a teenager and my family, we were down in New York City,
meeting Roy and Elliot and everybody for the first time.
And that was my only experience with Radio City Music Hall until these shows.
And I'll tell you what, it's a fantastic venue.
[Em] It sounds good in there as a [B] participant.
Hopefully it sounds good there as a spectator.
[Bm]
And, you know, just to see that beautiful theater, that 5,500 seat theater,
in the midst of all [Ab] this high finance and [B] these giant skyscrapers, it's a wonderful thing.
So I was really honored to play there and I think the film came out great.
And I'm looking forward to all these [Bm] DVDs, watching it back [B] from start to [Bm] finish.
Because ultimately [B] I always seem to be having way more fun on the film than in reality.
Because in reality when [Bm] I'm making these movies,
there's an element of fear in them because you're trying to hit the [B] note,
you're trying to be good on the night, and you're trying to [Bbm] obviously do your best.
