Hi, this is Jimmy Brother.
[F] I was born in [C] Mississippi, the son of a son of a [G] sailor.
Grew up in Alabama, started playing music in Louisiana, and have [F] lived for the past 40 [C] years in Florida.
Like millions [G] of Americans, the Gulf Coast is home to me.
My friends and neighbors on the Gulf [F] Coast need our friendship and support.
[G] Simple old-fashioned ways by [C] enjoying what is at the core of [G] living on these shores, southern hospitality.
[D] The oil has not and will never kill that.
Restaurants are open and the seafood is fresh and good.
[F] [C] Hotels are ready for families [G] on vacation.
I took a swim [C] here this morning.
There are still plenty of open [G] beaches, plenty of local [D] businesses that can use the support.
[G] Folks have always come down here in the [F] summer.
My friends and I [C] decided that the best thing we could do is play a free show for all the people here.
Stand with our [F] neighbors in a tough time and let the rest of [C] the country know that the Gulf is open for business.
[A] I love this place and [G] these people and their flavor.
It's one of the most unique places in America to [F] me.
Take a trip down to the Florida [G] Panhandle, the coast of [C] Alabama and Mississippi, or over to [G] Louisiana and see for yourself.
[D] This is our way of life.
Make it [G] a little part of yours.
