Love your music, love your voice, and you had a couple guys there from Jethro Tull, right?
Yep, they were on vacation at the moment, they were kind enough to drop in and help out.
But the main man, the guitar player, Martin Barr, he's away skiing at the moment, so he was just
Living the good life.
Absolutely, and why not?
You guys have had quite a success over the years.
We've been struggling along, yeah.
How long have you been playing the flute?
Well, I was a late starter, I didn't start until I was 20 years old, just at the time Jethro Tull started.
In fact, the reason I switched to the flute is because I was originally a guitar player, but not a great one.
And I heard Eric Clapton, and realized I was never going to be that good.
Right, right, right.
I owe my flute playing career to Eric Clapton, because I traded in my old guitar
He discouraged you because of his brilliance.
[Eb] Absolutely, I traded in my guitar for a [G] flute, and Eric Clapton taught me everything I know about flute play.
[N]
You're the best flute player we've had here on The Late Late Show.
[Ab]
That's our show, I'm proud of you.
Join us tomorrow and Friday.
Good night, everybody.
