[C] [A]
[D] All my family are music lovers.
My sister sang.
You know, we had great public school systems, so [Bm] all my teachers [E] were very influential on
how I was raised.
Each of my parents listened to a different kind of music, which was great as well.
So now I see as a [B] musician how each one of my parents influenced me.
You know, my mom listened to songwriters and crooners, [Gbm] and my dad listened to rhythm and
blues, and my stepdad was a jazz man.
And me personally, I just loved the radio.
When I was a kid, I listened to, I wanted to know what was on [G] at the time.
That was who I was.
But my parents definitely pushed us into [A] creative arts and crafts instead of television and
just sitting in front of the tube all [G] the time.
I started playing guitar when I was 18.
When I started living on my own and traveling around, the guitar seemed like the perfect
companion to my [Bb] thoughts and to my longing to sing and [G] express myself.
And so I took a trip to California for inspiration.
I thought, well, I'll have [Am] some adventures.
I'll see some new [D] things.
But I ended up discovering [Bm] an incredible coffee shop music scene where I could immediately
[A] make a home with other songwriters and with an audience there.
And so that was 13 years ago, and I never went back.
Whenever my mom and dad come to a show, I still get touched when I see them in the audience.
I often reference them a lot in songs.
Like in 93 Million Miles, I sing about my beautiful mother.
[D] And any time they're in the audience, all I got to do is look at them and I get touched
because [E] I can see how touched they are to see what their son has accomplished.
[G] Because it was really just a wild dream.
I dropped out of college.
I kept quitting jobs because I believed in myself as a songwriter and as a performer.
And [A] I think they were a little nervous at first, but now [E] they're real tickled whenever
they come to see the show.
And every time they come, it's a little bit bigger.
[C] So I think they're pretty stoked.

[Bb] [Gm] The comedy [C] is that it's serious.
[F] This is a strange [Bb] adduction.
They are the [Gm] worst.
I think the tragedy [C] is how you're gonna spend [F] the rest of your [Bb] life with the last [Gm] song.
Shining light on [C] all of your frays.
[F] Cause it all amounts [Bb] to nothing in the end.
[Eb] [F] I won't worry [Gm] my life [Bb] away.
[Eb] Just [F] for [Bb] one more [Eb] night.
[F]
I won't worry [Gm] my life [Bb] away.
[Eb] Just [F] for [Bb] one more [Eb] [Bb] night.
[F] [Bb] [Eb] [Bb]
[F] [G] Well I heard [Gm] through the [C] man's broken on the radio.
[F] In a crossfire [Bb] car in a new reality show.
[Gm] Uncovering the [C] wolf, a plan that lets me get [F] jacked.
Cause he was counting down the [Bb] wolves to stab a brother in the [Gm] back.
Back after [C] fifty years of affordable kids.
[F] With a mentally pathetic [Bb] race to shoot down.
[Gm] I've lost this.
He's a pathophobe.
[C] He dances with me.
[F] Well if you got the poison, I got the [Gm] remedy.
[C] Is it serious?
[F] This is a dangerous [Bb] thing he is.
So not [Gm] serious like comedy.
[C] Is that a serious?
[F] This is a strange [Bb] adduction.
They are the worst.
[Gm] I think the tragedy is how [C] you're gonna spend [F] the rest of your life [Bb] with the last song.

[F] [Bb] [Gm] When I fall [Eb] in love.
Well I take [Bb] my time.
There's no need to [F] worry love.
When I'm making [Gm] up my mind.
Yeah you can turn [Eb] off the sun.
But I'm still [Bb] gonna shine.
And I'll [F] tell you why.
[Bb] [Eb] [Ab]
[Bbm] [Bb] [Eb] [Ab]
